superman 2025 sooooo many thoughts

- love that we skip the origin story (and the pa kent death)

- superman would save palestine no gray areas allowed ("people were gonna die!")

- luthor doesn't care about real eastate thank the Lord,, no instead he creates pocket universes and misuses technology and the news against superman because he represents weakness (we win! they got luthor so right it beat my luthor fatigue!)

- supes keeps getting hurt but he keeps on fighting

- the fortress was gorgeous yes

- that one scene where supes is watching his name be dragged through the mud on tv and that stupid colourful fight is going on in the back and he leans in because he's serious lois what did you mean when you said this wouldn't work -- and they don't kiss she just hugs him

- love the lois rescues him back trope esppecially when he went through hell and she's home

- superman and the sun, a love story for ages

- lois takes him home to his parents, pa and clark have a chat--farmer john struggles to say it through the tears but he couldn't be more proud!!!

- lois and clark have a fight!!!! as they should, this is so refreshing i can't tell you and they just started dating and he's already saying he's in love and he should have said it sooner

- yes superman is human and he's the best one of us we love him dearly

- yes this is how clownish we look, dropping good people over slander without even hearing them out first, that one's on us🤡

- ma and pa, country as fuck (also pa is alive don't know if i celebrated that yet) "clark come look at the box", they really made them regular ass people (have i said fuck jor el? i can be partial to lara but not jor el fuck that guy always (even u russell crowe sorry, but especially you brando))

- this movie felt like a comic book, it had those long stationary shots of superman doing cool shit and the different fames and it put the action sideways and stuff -- makes me wanna pick up a comic book i am deadass, even those goofy flgiht scenes they were fun,, reminds me of all those evenings at work grinning over particularly badass pages

- the movie was bright and gorgeous and colourful and squishy, like soft and warm and it made me wanna hug superman even more than i already do and i was cackling and grinning and blushing through my melanin im in love

- soundtrack? good, maybe overuse of the superman theme sample um but it reminded me of the man of steel one also which is 👌👌👌 so,, i'll give it an extra listen later

- i'll go see it again, at least twice cmon
