Summary: your hanging out with Lngshot and Ohyul gets jealous of Ryul?
You don’t notice it at first.
The dorm is loud in that comfortable way it always is when everyone’s home at the same time. Someone’s playing music from a speaker that’s slightly too loud, Woojin is arguing with Louis over something completely unimportant, and Ryul is sitting next to you on the couch, halfway through telling a story that keeps getting interrupted because he keeps laughing at his own jokes.
“And then,” Ryul says, leaning closer to you like he’s about to reveal something serious, “he actually thought that was the right door. Like fully confident.”
You laugh, nudging his arm. “No way.”
“I’m not,” he says, grabbing your wrist for a second like he needs you to believe him. “Back me up, Woojin.”
Woojin glances over. “He’s not lying, but he’s making it sound cooler than it was.”
“See,” Ryul grins, looking back at you. “I never lie to you.”
You roll your eyes, but you’re still smiling, and for a second everything feels easy.
Not something obvious. Nothing loud. Just a shift in the room that you can’t really explain. It’s like when someone turns the volume down slightly and you only notice because something feels off.
Your eyes flick across the room without thinking, landing on Ohyul.
He’s leaning against the kitchen counter, arms crossed loosely, watching.
Not in a dramatic way. Not enough for anyone else to notice. But you know him well enough to see it, the way his jaw is a little tighter than usual, the way his eyes linger just a second too long on where Ryul’s hand had been on your wrist.
You look away quickly, back to Ryul, but your chest feels weird now.
“Wait, tell that part again,” you say, trying to focus.
Ryul keeps talking, but your attention is split now, half on him, half on Ohyul across the room. He doesn’t move much, just pushes himself off the counter after a minute and walks past, brushing your shoulder lightly as he goes.
It’s a normal thing. Something he does all the time.
But this time, it feels different.
You glance up at him, but he’s already heading toward the hallway.
“Bathroom,” he mutters when Woojin asks, not looking at anyone in particular.
The door clicks shut a second later.
Ryul keeps talking, but you’re not really listening anymore.
You give it another minute, trying to convince yourself you’re overthinking it, but you’re not. You know that look. You’ve seen it before, just never directed like this.
“Hey, I’ll be back,” you say, standing up.
“Where are you going?” Louis asks.
No one questions it. You slip down the hallway, stopping in front of the bathroom door for a second before knocking lightly.
You push the door open just enough to peek in. Ohyul is leaning against the sink, staring down at his phone, but he looks up immediately when he sees you.
“Hi,” you say softly, stepping inside and closing the door behind you.
There’s a second where neither of you speak.
“Everything okay?” you ask.
“Yeah,” he says quickly. “Why wouldn’t it be?”
“I don’t know. Maybe because you just disappeared mid conversation and you look like you’re thinking way too hard about something.”
“I’m not,” he says, but it’s not very convincing.
You step closer, crossing your arms slightly.
He sighs, running a hand through his hair, looking away from you for a second like he’s debating whether to say anything.
“It’s nothing,” he mutters.
You tilt your head. “You’re a terrible liar.”
He lets out a quiet breath, shoulders dropping a little as the fight leaves him”
“It’s just… stupid,” he says.
Then, quieter, “You and Ryul.”
Your eyebrows knit together. “What about me and Ryul?”
He shrugs, but it’s stiff. “Nothing. You just… seem close.”
“Yeah. He’s your member. We hang out.”
“I know,” he says quickly. “I know that.”
“Then what’s the problem?”
He hesitates again, then finally looks at you, and there’s something vulnerable in his expression that makes your chest tighten.
“I don’t like how he looks at you sometimes.”
“And the way he touches you,” he adds, voice low. “Like earlier. Your wrist.”
“I know it probably means nothing,” he rushes on, “and I’m not trying to make it a big deal, it just… bothers me.”
You stare at him for a second, trying to process everything he just said.
“You’re jealous,” you say slowly.
He immediately shakes his head. “I’m not jealous.”
“You literally just said you don’t like how he looks at me.”
“That doesn’t mean I’m jealous.”
He groans quietly, dropping his head back for a second. “Okay, maybe a little.”
You can’t help it. You laugh softly, stepping closer until you’re right in front of him.
“Why didn’t you just say that?”
“Because it sounds dumb,” he mumbles.
“It is. I trust you, it’s just…” He trails off, jaw tightening again. “I don’t know. I don’t like it.”
“I’m not interested in Ryul.”
“I do,” he says, but it’s quieter now.
You reach up, resting your hands lightly on his arms.
“Ohyul,” you say, a little firmer this time. “Look at me.”
“I like you,” you say. “Only you.”
Something in his expression shifts, but it’s still not fully gone.
“I know,” he repeats, but there’s still that small doubt lingering.
You step even closer, closing the space between you completely, and without overthinking it, you lean up and press a soft kiss to his lips.
He freezes for half a second, then immediately melts into it, one of his hands coming up to your waist, pulling you closer like he doesn’t want there to be any distance left at all.
When you pull back, you don’t go far.
“Still worried?” you whisper.
He huffs a quiet laugh, but it’s softer now.
“Okay,” you say, nodding like you’re taking that seriously. “We can fix that.”
He raises an eyebrow slightly. “We?”
Before he can question it, you kiss him again, a little longer this time, your hands sliding up to his shoulders. He responds instantly, one hand still at your waist while the other comes up to cradle the side of your face, thumb brushing lightly against your cheek.
You pull back again, just enough to speak.
“I don’t look at him like this,” you murmur.
“I don’t think about him like this.”
“And I definitely don’t want to be with him.”
This time when you kiss him, he pulls you in even closer, like he’s making sure you’re real, like he’s grounding himself in it. You can feel the tension in him starting to fade, replaced with something softer, something warmer.
When you finally break apart, you rest your forehead against his.
There’s a small pause, then he mumbles, “You didn’t have to do all that.”
You smile slightly. “I wanted to.”
His ears go a little pink, and he looks away for a second before glancing back at you.
“Why would I be annoyed?”
“I don’t know,” he shrugs. “For being… like that.”
You shake your head, sliding your hands down to take his.
“I’d rather you tell me than just sit there and overthink everything.”
“You were literally standing in the bathroom staring at your phone.”
He squeezes your hands gently, pulling you a little closer again.
“Sorry,” he says quietly.
“I just don’t want to mess anything up.”
“You’re not,” you say. “You won’t.”
There’s a small silence, but it’s comfortable now.
Then, because you can’t help yourself, you add, “Also, if you’re gonna get jealous, at least come get me instead of hiding in here.”
He lets out a soft laugh.
“And for the record,” you continue, “you’re the only one I’m letting touch me like that.”
His eyebrows lift slightly. “Like what?”
You lean in, brushing your lips against his again, quick and soft this time.
His grip on your hands tightens just a little.
“Okay,” he says, voice quieter now. “Yeah. I like that.”
You laugh softly, resting your head against his shoulder for a second.
“Come on,” you say after a moment. “Let’s go back before they start asking questions.”
He groans lightly. “They’re definitely going to ask questions.”
“You just kissed me like five times.”
“Then act normal after that.”
He shakes his head, but he’s smiling now, the earlier tension completely gone.
You tug on his hand anyway, pulling him toward the door.
When you step back into the living room, the noise hits you again, but this time it feels lighter. Ryul glances over immediately.
“There you are,” he says. “We thought you disappeared.”
You shrug casually. “Just talking.”
“Ohyul,” Louis smirks, eyeing him. “You good?”
“Ohyul nods once. “Yeah. I’m good.”
And when his hand finds yours again, lacing your fingers together like it’s the most natural thing in the world, you squeeze it gently, just to remind him.
He doesn’t need to worry.
Not when you’re right here.
