the justice system in the buddyfight universe is so funny to me because in season 1 the only thing you need to do to not get arrested is say "ohh my bad that was the wrong thing to do" (shosetsu kirisame im looking at you) or, if youre kyoya, just step down as president after trying to KILL EVERYONE!!!!! (basically). and then also we see disaster force, which can absolutely hurt people, being used at the tournament and like... those people could have died... and all kyoya had to say was "yeahhh isnt that cool?" and everyone was like ohh ok sure.
we also watch the buddy police fumble every damn criminal in seasons 1 & 2. like to the point where it got frustrating. you people cant do anything fr
then in season 3 we go to america and the american buddy police are arresting everyone. jackknife dragon might have committed a crime? cuff him and book him. buddy monster drugs another monster to commit said crime? death penalty. j genesis creates a weapon of war? get him in prison. (sure, a little more of a serious crime, but we also watched every buddyfight by the evil-doers of season 2 get broadcast and ... nothing).
in a world where all you need to do to go free is beat a 12 year old in a card game, id be doing whatever tf i want too.
