I can hear their hearts beating

I can hear the blood rushing through their veins

But the dead’s hearts don’t pump

And my love is in pain

And he’ll live forever

And i will die young

And for my whole life

My blood has made me run

Away from the people

They wish me dead

But they all died

Their voices no longer in my friend’s head

Because he now hears silence

He can hear his thoughts

He’s blind to the world

But his maid is not

And i don’t know

If he will die

Or if he’ll fly

In the afterlife

With her by his side

But what i do know

Is that i’ll be forgotten

Dying at twenty-three

And they will all say

“Now his soul is free”

But it will not be free

I will not know peace

Is returned to me
