140 e-services being okayed by PAM, subscription fees mulled
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: The Public Authority for Manpower has announced 140 electronic services will be implemented gradually in conjunction with the adoption of new titles and professions based on the unified Gulf guide, noting that it is considering imposing fees to subscribe to the services of the authority as of next April or keep it free.
In this context, officials in the authority confirmed at a conference held in the suburb of Al-Riqqa region yesterday, all paper work has been stopped after embarking on the automated systems, in addition to notifying the employer of the violation automatically. Director of the Needs Assessment Department at the Authority, Musaed Al-Mutairi, said the application through the ‘Easiest’ service will come into force next week, according to a new mechanism, pointing out that the business owner submits documents mentioning his needs through the site and is approved by the responsible official.
Director of the Info Systems Department at the Authority, Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi, said the human resources sector is studying the amount of fees to be charged for e-services, as of next April. She stated the services provided electronically will not be activated in labor departments until after moving to the fifth stage, indicating that there is a link with 13 government agencies to complete the transactions.
Concerning absenteeism reports, Ali Al-Dulmani, the observer of the Labor Relations Department, confirmed receiving reports is an ongoing process around the clock and all labor complaints are dealt with, but absconding reports are looked into 60 days after a report has been submitted.
