i find it hilarious how half of sōgo's most popular pairings are with men who are at least a decade older than him ( hjkt, gin, kondo ). and the other half are characters who are very much underage ( kagura, shinpachi ). the only popular sōgo ship where they're both somewhat of the same age is him × kamui ( 18 & 18–20 respectively ). that guy is Not Allowed to have normal relationship dynamics

A Gintama episode a day keeps the ending away…Episode 149

Episode Title: When Breaking A Chuubert In Half, The End With The Knob Should Be Better. It's Also Tasty To Drink From There

MY 18 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 149 (manga chaps 234 and 235):

I loved this whole little Saw adventure with our two boys, but honestly, I’m mostly relieved by the fact that some dipshit loser who still lives with his parents wasn’t actually able to so easily capture two of Shinsengumi’s fiercest leaders. I don’t think I would’ve been able to look at them the same way if that had been the case.

1) Their hilarious reaction to finding out puppy Kickzaw’s tendency of swallowing shiny stuff like keys.

2) Their matching crazy eyes.

3) Puppy was adorable but also super weird: I don’t think I’ve ever met a dog who chose to crap on shiny shit.

4) Sougo’s reaction to Hijikata’s bone-headed move of throwing the key out the window. I would’ve felt the same way.

5) Random ass shot. You’re welcome.

6) This always makes me giggle.

7) Hijikata’s fourth wall breakage...

8)...which actually resulted in his demand being fulfilled.

9) As if it wasn’t already obvious where he was going with his earlier question considering they were arguing about the Chuubert, Toshi had to spell it out.

10) If I didn’t smell something funny before, as soon as Okita started getting all fainty and complimentary, I knew something HAD to be up. 

11) Poor Hijikata, totally falling for Okita’s act hook, line and sinker.

12) Yep, this moment sealed it for me: all of it had to be utter bullshit. No way would Sougo ever kill himself like that.  

13) Again, poor Hijikata. My heart broke a little for him since he absolutely fell for Sougo’s act.

14) Hijikata really is so damn noble and sweet. Makes me love him all over again.

15) The moment when Hijikata realizes he’s been played.

16) The face of a truly evil angel.

17) I hope Hijikata’s ok. Lol.

18) He didn’t quite deceive this one audience member, but kudos to him for trying. Love our Prince.

SHIPS TALLY:

Hijikata x Okita: even though Sougo was completely insincere almost every single minute they were together, the fact that Hijikata was TOTALLY sincere was enough for me. 

Okita x Gintoki: WE ARE STILL OWED A SEQUEL.

I don’t like Okita but he’s kind of bareable when combined with Gintoki. So I kinda ship them maybe? I can’t see Gin in BL ship anymore but an Okita courting Gin and being all seme while Gin is like “son, you are 1000 years too early if you think you are going to top me”. But Okita succeeds. (Because things always seem to go his way)

ahhhh, cute. i can see sougo buying something that gintoki would like on a whim, but then not knowing how to give it to him. i can see him walking up and down the road in front of the yorozuya waiting for gintoki to come out so he can say that he just happened to be patrolling here. like wow what a coincidence danna.. (gdi sougo do your job) tho gintoki’s like lmao patrolling my ass, u never do your job, but plays along. the first time gintoki’s probs hella suspicious like ‘what is this sadist giving me’ but after a few times he just thinks it’s cute. lmao yesss. tbh me neither. as much as i adore okita, i don’t look for a lot of stuff about him.
