I’ve had a thought.
What if every cat knows what the meaning of happiness is, but as they grow older, the memory of that knowledge fades. It takes a strong powerful action to happen for a cat to remember the true meaning of happiness again. Grizabella remembered after she realised all she truly wanted was her family. Old Deuteronomy remembered after he realised the difference between life with the Jellicles, and life without. Jemima didn’t need this. Jemima already knew. She just needed to ask herself, ‘What is the meaning of happiness?’ . She listened to Old Deuteronomy and understood what he was saying. Jemima is a young cat, newly reborn. Thats why only some cats know and remember the true meaning of happiness.
If I posted an Asparalorum story (with multiple parts) would anyone read it? If yes please say (PM, ask box etc) and please reblog this if you see it!

He sighed, jumping down from a pile of junk and grabbing the paws of his love, gently pulling her to the ground.
"If I lay here..." he started.
"If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?" He managed to eventually say.
"I don't quite know, how to say how I feel. Those three words are said too much. But they're not enough!"
As he spoke, his voice rose in volume and the excitement shone through every word.
"If I lay here... If I just lay here...Would you lie with me and just forget the world?"
He quietened down, slipping his arm around her waist, pressing gentle kisses to the arch of her neck.
"Forget what we're told... before we get too old. Show me a garden that's bursting into life or let's waste time chasing cars around our heads,"
He smiled slightly and held the queen, his queen, close to his brown and white chest.
"I need your grace to remind me to find my own because all that I am... all that I ever was... is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see,"
He glanced down into the glimmering green eyes of his sweetheart, deep love reflected in them.
"I-I don't know where... confused about how as well. Just know that these things will never change for us at all..."
As Asparagus gently kissed Jellylorum, he knew this queen was all he needed.
-(- 50 years later -)-
As Old Deuteronomy slowly lowered his arms after his declaration of how to address a cat, a thin black and brown and white tom stepped forward. Although he was thinner and slower and older, there were three things that hadn't changed. 1- His love and talent for performing. 2- His love for singing. 3- His love for Jellylorum.
"If I lay here... I-If I just lay here... would you lie with me and just forget the world?"
The face of his love, his queen, his goddess, his Jelly shone out at him from the group of Jellicle. As she caught his eyes, everything melted away.
They were just Jellylorum and Asparagus Jr.
They were just Jelly and Razzie.
They were just two cats in love, trying their best for the world.

Mentioning cats is a difficult thing It's not just one of your Christmas games At first you might think I'm mad as a hatter If I tell you, the cat should have three different names
First, the surname the family uses every day Like Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James Like Victor or Jonathan, George or Bill Bailey These are all meaningful everyday names
But let me tell you, a cat needs a special name A strange and dignified name How else does it keep its tail straight? Or to widen the mustache or to cultivate pride?
Under these names I can give you a quorum Like Munkustrap, Quaxo and Coricopat Like bombalurin or jelly Names that never belong to more than one cat
But there is another name And here's a name you never think about A name that no human research can discover But the cat himself knows this and will never accept it
When you see a cat in deep meditation The reason, I tell you, is always the same His mind thinks, thinks Think, think, think of his name ...
It doesn't work, inexplicably, it can't work A deep and unexplored name Name, name, name, name, name, name
