MUCH happier with this now. i have a strong fondness for him as MC12 was what got me 'back into' this and its coming up #to almost a year now since i first started drawing madness combat and funnily it all started with sanford so. i like him a lot #i plan to eventually do the rest of the cast but i'm not going to push myself too harshly. next on the line would be sheriff and jeb tho #sheriff is very close to getting a proper design. i've got a few doodles and the backlog of discussion between rover and sheriff is #piling up the point where i need designs for sheriff (and phobos) to start talking about him more.#in my absence i have been avidly focused on drawing so i have a decent pile of art that i will slowly share again. still getting my nerves #back eheh. arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh whatever i can do this #edit: keeping up my habit of having something to say just after posting or finishing something but one thing i'd change:#hank's jaw doesn't really give them a *smile* per se. it just makes their face really really hard to read #like what are you supposed to glean from their expression? their jaw is locked in place. half of their face is ripped off #and their facial muscles don't even move. how do you emote hank? do you at all? i think that's a fun shared thing between #hank and zero: their faces don't express anything at all.#they're looking at you but. you can't really tell what they're thinking. which is frightening to be on the receiving end of #idk if anyone would remember that old emotion chart i did for zero but like that whole thing can be thrown out of the window. she seldom #feels anything at all and expresses even less. that's just the nature of “existing wrong” and the way her life came to be. much like hank #edit2: i realised i have the power to just change the image and its gonna annoy me if i leave it hello if you're seeing me do this fkjgnskf

Okay I’ve finished the drawing of the Golden Goddesses, two versions because I wasn’t sure how much I should go with detail wise

I think I wanted the picture to look more like an art piece and not three sketches, but oh well. Overall it’s relatively good

I think I like the hair in the originals more, but ah well

I also didn’t intend to change their outfits as much as I did, but as I went, I had some ideas on how to change their designs, though they aren’t fully realized here. I kind of want to make full designs of these new outfits, since you can’t see the bottoms here (and Farore’s white part of the dress is only on the bottom)

I’m not sure if I’ve told you about these three before, I think I have? But might as well give some info

So yeah, these are supposed to be interpretations (well sort of? I don’t know if this is them in their full divine selves) of Din, Nayru and Farore, though they largely come from their depictions in Ocarina of Time, since that and Link Between Worlds were my two largest sources for the Legend of Zelda series. And Link Between Worlds doesn’t really have the Goddess Trio, since I’m fairly certain Link to the Past predates them, so LBW wouldn’t really have them in their lore. But back to Ocarina

So in the 3DS version, aka the one I play, their cutscene depicts the trio as red, blue and green respectively, but in the original N64 version, the trio are gold. So I tried to blend those two together by making their bodies gold, but with colored eyes and clothes

Also their depictions and ages somewhat come from that cutscene too. Din and Nayru are twins, Din being slightly older, while Farore is the youngest. And while this really only applies to Din, she’s specifically buff because the cutscene literally says she has “strong flaming arms”, and she’s the Goddess of Power; she has to have muscle

Honestly, I kind of wish the Zelda games used the Goddess Trio more, if only because they were in Ocarina so I know them

#I do half wonder what Hylia would look like in this design style but I also don’t know anything about her so idk #the trio could probably stand to look a bit more “divine” for lack of a better word #but whatever it’s just redesigns of old ones I made before and I like them #I also remember at some point wanting to repurpose these three as their own human characters #I remember their age order stayed exactly the same #and also that Din and Nayru started out similar looking and both with purple hair that changed when they got older #they would have had red and blue hair respectively while Farore had green #they also played instruments but I only remember Nayru playing the piano #I also feel like Din is my favorite among the trio character wise #but idk if I’ll do that #but I would like to draw these three again I think #we’ll just have to see if I do #the legend of zelda #legend of zelda #my art #redesign #golden goddess #loz din #loz nayru #loz farore
