The 1313 Statute Forbidding Bearing of Armour forbids members of Parliament (UK) from wearing armour in the House. As of at least March 2013, 700 years later, this law is still in effect.

Just imagine this scenario:

There's an esoteric law on the books in Wisconsin as hath it that restaurants must serve as an adjunct to any meal costing 50¢ or more a slice of apple pie topped with a slice of cheese; supposedly to promote Wisconsin's dairy produce.

And can you just picture your favourite Funtastics, passing through small-town Wisconsin, stopping in some small-town cafe and being served pie as above for the dessert? (Including, obviously, the "meddling-kids-and-dog" element, Norville "Shaggy" Rogers and Scooby-Doo being preeminent.)
