Shiro looks like a tool and Keith is lookin’ mighty fine ❤️❤️❤️
oooh your latest klance is SO soft i adore it. did you have a backstory to it or just some vague plot around it?
Hfddhdj thank you!!! Theres not much to it, just a little future!ficlet in my head...
Season 7 didnt happen. Time passed. They're older, wiser, still in space fighting the good fight. Over time, Keith softens. Lance grows in confidence and ability, becomes a source of support for Keith, who sometimes gets overwhelmed by his responsibilities as the Black Paladin, unsure of himself and of his choices. Lance learns what Keith needs, and when, reads him like a book, knows what to say, where to run his fingers, which parts of his face to kiss... soothes Keith's anxious heart like nothing else.
And though I love Keith's mullet enough to get one of my own, he has an undercut because I think Lance would like touching it ;)
This post is related to this one here.
I finally found a use for the ninja outfits I made for Pidge and Keith a while back (deleted the original post to them), and they end up replacing their old armor. The clothes that they're wearing now are their normal attire.
Interesting Key Notes:
Pidge:
She is almost as tall as Keith is now (she's like about an inch or two shorter than him give or take).
She grew her hair out and wears makeup now (just some eye shadow and lip gloss).
The choker she wears was a birthday gift from her late lover.
Her ears (you can't see them because her hair is covering them up) are a little pointed at the tips.
She no longer wears her brother's glasses.
Keith and everyone else now calls her "Katie" or "Katherine" since she stopped using her nickname years ago.
Keith:
He grew his hair out and wears earrings now.
He also has a small beard growing that he regularly maintains (he likes to keep it as a goatee).
The scarf he wears was an anniversary gift from his late fiancé.
Like his friend Pidge, who he thinks of as a sister, Keith has his own unique abilities.
Keith's nickname is "Yorak" and only a few people are allowed to call him that.
Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.
“How do we know you’re the real Keith, and not his older brother?”
i totally love the sassier, buffer, possibly older keith we saw in the trailer for season 6. had to draw his new self and do him justice: canon-style. *sweats*

I keep prompting you angst so how about some fluff? Collage au Person/Couple decide they want to flirt with Lance how do they go about it? They get him a blue shirt that just says "Candy" on it and have him wear it to a karaoke bar. They then sing "I want Candy" by Aaron Carter pointing at Lance each time Candy is brought up in the song.
This isn’t a prompt. The whole story is here. Behold it.
Just kidding ima write a cute lil Drabble for this.
Lance and Keith were in the same Creative writing class they were forced to take. They never really talked, just sat next to each other and went about their lives. One day the professor gave them assignment: write about the person next to you. How did their day go? What did they do? What’s their routine? Make it into a story.
Lance and Keith got paired together. In Lance’s story, Keith was a quiet boy, one who always slept in and rarely went outside. He probably listened to a lot of music, maybe played an instrument himself- the drums probably. Keith was quiet and had about no interest in talking to others and making new friends- he was fine with the couple he had and enjoyed being alone most of the time anyways.
According to Keith, Lance was loud and sometimes a bit obnoxious. He talked too much, took long showers, and cared too much about his appearance. He was always smiling and had a song stuck in his head (due to Keith noticing that Lance walked in to class everyday humming a different song). Lance was over exited for everything and too dramatic, but still cared deeply for his friends. Keith’s version of Lance was someone he would want to hang out with but he would never bother. Lance never seemed that interested in him.
They turned their papers in and the entire time they only said a couple words too each other, Lance being too busy talking to others and flirting with girls to have a full conversation and Keith being too afraid to try.
The next class the professor told them to get their same partners a present. Something that they thought represented their personality and to write about why they chose it. Then give it to them.
Keith wasn’t completely sure what to get, but he remembered Lance walking into class that day humming the song “I Want Candy”. It stuck out to him because it was one of the few songs Lance sang that he ever recognized.
Keith decided. That’s what he was going to do. Give him candy. But then he decided that was probably too little, so instead he decided to get him a shirt instead that said ‘Candy’ on it. It worked perfectly for his personality. Lance seemed sweet, always talking to others, never being outright rude. And candy was always so unpredictable. There were so many different kinds, you were never sure what you were going to get. Some had different insides and outsides, different flavors, textures, tastes, and it all seemed too like Lance.
Keith wrote this down and turned it in and gave Lance his bright blue shirt with dark blue lettering across the chest. Lance handed him some red and black headphones, a decent brand too.
Then the professor told them to write about the objects they were given and why they thought the other person chose it. Keith realized Lance saw him as a music person- even though he really wasn’t. But Lance was. So Keith wrote about his headphones and Lance his shirt and turned in their papers.
It struck Keith that Lance saw him as a shy, silent person that never talked or socialized unless necessary, hence the gigantic headphones. Maybe he was right, but Keith was suddenly determined to prove him wrong. So next class, as they walked out, Keith went up to Lance.
“You seem to think I like music,” he told Lance. Lance shrugged. “Well, I know you do, you’re always singing and humming and doing a little dance in your seat, you can’t sit still.”
Lance raised his eyebrows and cocked his head, looking at Keith funny. “Okay… so?” He asked starting to get confused where this was going.
“So,” Keith swallowed hard, steadying his hands. “Let’s go listen to music. There’s one of those karaoke bar things a couple minutes of campus. You can sing, I can listen, and you can teach me how to talk to others.”
Lance thought for a second before agreeing. “Okay, sounds good. How about Friday? 9:00?” Keith nodded. “Great, see you there.”
They went on their own ways. Keith’s heart fluttered just a bit. Okay, so maybe he wanted to be just a little more than friends and maybe this guy captivated his mind and thoughts and heart just a little, but he doubted he felt the same way. He was always flirting with girls, he wouldn’t feel the same. That was until Keith saw him through the hallways, brushing hands and smiling hard with a boy. Keith wasn’t sure wether to feel relieved or worried. Did this mean he had a chance? Or did Lance really like this kid? Were they a thing? Or close to being one? Keith shook his head. It didn’t matter. He would try anyways.
So finally Friday came. And at 8:52 Keith showed parked his car at the Karaoke Bar parking lot and walked inside. And at 9:02 Lance got off the bus with his bright blue ‘Candy’ shirt on and walked through the door. They found each other almost immediately.
Kieth smiled. “I like you shirt.”
“Yeah, I thought it was pretty appropriate.” Lance answered back.
The night went on but Keith was still a little unsure of what to do or how to do it. He was too stuck in his head, not acting on his feelings. He was afraid if he didn’t become a little more lively quick, Lance would walk away.
Lance got up himself and walked to the tiny stage and sung ‘Uptown Funk’ while dancing along. Keith grabbed a drink and took a shot. Something, anything, to make his legs move and his mouth talk. He took two more.
Once Lance came back Keith was feeling more comfortable, a confident buzz running through his body.
“Why don’t you sing one, Mullet?” Lance teased playfully, nudging him with his arm. Keith decided why the hell not? So he got up from his seat and walked over to the stage, a determined look on his face. He already new what song he was singing. He told the man at the booth and waited for the current person to finish before grabbing the mic and giving it a try.
The music started and Keith tapped his toe along to the beat as he sang. From his chair Lance smiled at him encouragingly. The chorus came on and Keith was ready.
“I want candy!” Keith sung into the mic, looking at Lance. “I want candy.”
Lance laughed and whooped as he cheered him on. Keith continued singing. More people chiming in and dancing along. Keith’s body was still buzzing but more with the alcohol and less with nerves. He felt comfortable here on stage, he felt less afraid all of a sudden. Keith readied as the chorus came back on. He gave it a spin then stared at Lance, pointed, and sang.
“I want candy!” He sang loudly into the mic, smiling. “I want candy… I want candy! I want candy,” he sang all the whole pointing at Lance and dancing on stage. Lance laughed and sang along.
When the song ended, people cheered. Keith blushed a bit before returning to his seat. “That was pretty good, Mullet,” Lance said with a wide smile, nudging him on the arm again. “But I’m not 100% clear on something.”
Keith gave him a puzzled look. “What do you mean?”
Lance shot him a sly smile. “Do you still want candy? Cause it think it wants you.”
Sad twink. png
I love Voltron, did I say that already? I really do.
