Title: Chance Encounter in the Johto Region
[Alternate] Summary: Two different people from two different worlds and beyond have a small encounter one day while making their way through Johto. What would come out of it, given who they were especially if one of them didn’t react to said encounter or the person they ran into?
Rating: T
Fandom(s): FFVII, PKMN, and others
Pairing(s): Rufti [minor] and Trickyshipping [mentioned]
Excerpt:
“Tyyyyy,” Tyranitar yawned widely, rubbing her right eye as she cocked her head to the side for a better angle at reading the article still on her Trainer’s screen. “Tar? Tyra—” “Hmm? What’s this here?” She perked up, staying silent for once. “Tsubasa and Tsume. Wingul is the one who’s called Tsubasa, while Tifa is Tsume,” he continued, looking at another photo of them, next, but with Karla, Rufus, and some other man with Long Dau features by their sides this time. In it, they were all sitting on the ground with their backs against the two Legendary Pokémon, Solgaleo and Zamazenta, much to his surprise, behind a strange windmill in yet another city he didn’t recognize, either, even though he knew it was somewhere on Aselia based on the buildings’ architectural design. “So…if I’m getting this right, Wingul and Tifa are their real names. Not Tsubasa. And not Tsume. Which could only mean these last two names are nicknames that they have on their Trainer IDs—a secondary or third one, or even fourth ID, used for professional battling in all the regions here and…maybe on Earth too, I assume? And if so, that would be crazy as far as having multiple identities go.” Or interesting. Very interesting. He wasn’t the one to judge, not with something like…well…this. He wouldn’t dare to. But still… They weren’t anyone special in that regard, and neither were the few he had either heard of before or met on his past travels using a different name out in public whenever they introduced themselves to other people. It was normal. Expected. Or…at least it was now compared to back then a few decades ago, when a Trainer didn’t even bother with an alias unless they were some big hot shot in the entertainment industry, or an influential figure who worked multiple jobs, wanted to keep their Trainer life separate from their private one, led a double life through an alter ego whenever they felt like running around in a uniform to help authorities solve crime and stop criminal organizations from trying to complete their goals of wanting to take over the world or destroy it—which was both insane and foolish to the highest degree in his humble opinion. . . . . . Wait. Why was he even thinking about this so deeply in the first place? . . . . . Nevermind. Whatever reason he had in the beginning for it didn't matter anymore. It was not that important. It was never supposed to be important for him at all, but… I just can’t help myself sometimes. He sighed and shook his head. Arceus, he fucked up. Badly.

being normal about corbeau
i love the little details that hint that Corbeau being a kinda lonely and a little desperate for friends, and perhaps doesn't know how to socialize like a normal person.
As early as your first mission under him, he's stopping by to check in on the player. Fair enough, it is your first mission, perhaps he just wants to assess you. When the player poke fun at him with "I take it you're not very busy" or "Nothing better to do, huh?", he doesn't really respond to it, instead just going on about why these Gengars are here.
Just a "Hmph." which you can read as him not really caring about your opinions but I think it's also funny if its just like...he feels called out and doesn't want to give you the satisfaction of a larger reaction.
I do also find it really interesting that the dialogue options they give you to talk to this scary intimidating guy with a bad reputation are both a little disrespectful. You're literally at his mercy in terms of how much work you have to do, and yet both options are to sass him. Though perhaps it's because of this that he feels like you're not just another debtor to him if you dare to poke the bear like that.

More under the cut
Tifa week has arrived, along with the new Ever Crisis Academy event! They have more pictures of Tifa in her new costume, so I wanted to create a more accurate drawing than my first.
This is based on the new Tifa and Aerith banner for the app.
