Good, disease resistant, white roses are hard to find. Apperantly, they are the most difficult to breed. But ‘Bolero’, a Floribunda, bred by Jacques Mouchotte (France, before 2003) is one of them. This near white rose seems to have it all: the white blend color is always beautiful no matter if it tends to have s more pinkish or yellowish hue depending on the temperatures. The flowers are large and very full and have the desirable old fashioned bloom form which is so romantic. This rose seems to be able to thrive in warm climates, can withstand high heat and is supposed to be relatively healthy. As an additional plus the blooms are very fragrant. I also think that this rose will make a nice cut flower. For all these reasons I am contemplating adding ‘Bolero’ to my own garden. What do you think of it? Do you grow this rose? And if so what is your experience with it? Please do tell! The photo was taken by me at The International Rose Test Garden in Portland a few years back on a very warm summer day. #bolero #floribunda #white #nearwhite #whiteblend #romantic #oldfadhioned #cutflower #goodcutflower #oldfashionedbloomform #diseaseresistent #beautiful #fragrant #rosesofinstagram #instaroses #rose #roses #internationalrosetestgarden #portland #oregon (at Portland, Oregon)
