suddenly remembering the time years ago i was playing original skyrim (with no dlc) on xbox 360 where i was swimming in a river in a dungeon and somehow found a giant underwater room that was completely white with falmer just floating scattered around the room. it scared me so bad i stopped playing for a month. what the fuck was that

So! I have a poll for people to answer about Skyrim. Since every person’s journey through Skyrim is so unique, I’ve narrowed it down to mostly exclude interactions with main quests. As a theoretical, would you prefer:

Show with several characters and no mention of Dragonborn, set before or after.

Show with hints of the Dragonborn, but no name drops or race drops.

Show with affects of the Dragonborn (such as TG progression, DBH progression).

Show intertwined with the Dragonborn, but not focused on the Dragonborn.

None o’ that, ya slinky lil’ skeever! Leave my game alone!

rip oldrim. you will be missed

for those of you who don’t know (aka everybody except moi), i had oldrim AND sse installed at the same time. and i mostly played oldrim, since i liked the enb better and that’s where my characters were. but it was time to say goodbye!

so here are some classy screenshots from oldrim. i know, i know, my game looked amazing.

I haven't played vanilla Skyrim in years (I usually play with more than 300 mods), so maybe it's time. Just reinstalled Oldrim so as not to mess up my SE installation.

What started me looking at a vanilla playthrough is that I have the itch to play either Skyrim or Fallout 4 again, but I updated SE to Anniversary Edition a while back and STILL haven't redone my load order (which will also involve remaking a lot of my custom patches), and my Fallout 4 load order is about two years out of date.

So yeah. Vanilla Oldrim it is. Gonna be weird having only one follower, not being able to marry Serana, etc. One thing is that I will be able to use the alchemy/restoration/enchanting loop exploit, which the unofficial patch gets rid of, so in exchange for no mods, I can make overpowered gear lol.

( @thesurestthing predicts I'll last MAYBE an hour before I get frustrated and start modding it lol.)

I usually play an Imperial (easiest to make good faces) or a Breton (that magic resistance ROCKS), but I think I'll play a Khakiit this time.
