Elias was glad to be on the same district team as Taffy. It was always fun when they were together, and it was nice to have someone like her around when things felt heavy on the floor. He also was immensely grateful that she had never made him look ridiculous whenever she had styled him, otherwise he would have lost his mind at this point.

But she also knows that Olive’s not really the type for relationships, and having been in quite a few rocky ones (most of which she ended herself out of boredom [or fear of commitment]), she’s not keen on pushing the subject. Olive is everything she pushes herself to be; she’s smart and committed, good at what she does, she’s bettering herself, she knows how to play to her strengths. Liz hopes that she can be as good a trainer as Olive is someday, and worries that she never will be.

Alder lowkey wants to be Olive when he grows up. She’s much better at not giving a shit about what anyone thinks, something he wishes desperately he could have. She makes him feel listened to and protected, but also appreciates that she’s never going to sugar-coat anything he needs to hear either. He feels safe telling her just about anything.
