What exactly is the prototypes plan?
A lot of hints where given about him wanting to not be immortal alone and figuring out how to create others like him.
The prototype is smart enough that he should know the consequences of creating a bunch of immortals trapped in one space forever.
Lets say the best case scenario happens and he makes a lot of succesful experiment who all dont need to eat, feel no hunger, no desire to go outside and love him while being smart enough to have conversations with.
What would they do for eternity or for that matter the next 10 years?
All resorces run out, the factory is broken down and has only childrens games available. Will they keep drawing until they run out of paper? Will they Play the same game or have the same conversation everday?
And what about a genius like the prototype?
He spent his days before ruling a broken kingdom. He planned how to handle resorces, act towards allies, how to defeat enemys, deal out punishments, figure out his immortality plan, discover the whole factory and basically learn or do something new everyday. I may not have been a pleasent live, but he had a purpose.
If he wins like intended with no enemys or projects remaining, what will he do than?
Just start experimenting on his allies he wanted to have this whole time?
I dont think so. He says he will fix puppy (the only reference we have how he will treat the other immortals). But he never implys he will willingly (accidently can still happen) hurt her. Even his other experiments have a purpose like punishment. Not just science for science sake or boredome.
So taking all this in mind. Would the prototype not hate his live even if he wins and gains his immortal allies. (Not to mention what if they hate and ignore him or what if someone else comes in a few years to buy the property?).
Personally i could still understand if his goal really is creating others like him. Considering how human it is to not want to be alone.
But it just feels to open ended to me. Someone like the prototype should have more in mind, than just temporary happiness which will only result in his eternal turtore in the future.
This is why i hope he has something else in mind. It can be something really evil like kill all of humanity or something like reverse the process and return others human again. (I doupt he himself still wants to be human). But make it something which is thought out based for the future.
Personally i feel like the prototype should not have a goal which makes him happy, since i believe this will never be possible or stay constant in his situation. Which he should knows. But make him have a goal which has a wider purpose, where he doesnt care what happens to him afterwards. Not only would this be tragic, but fitting for a character whos goals always involved everybody else (not only did he want his freedom, but theodores as well and later everyone elses for example)
Between the wanting revenge goal and the fixing the process goal i prefere the later one. Simply because he already got his revenge and it would be a nice twist if his effort actually got some good consequences.
Any thoughts about his goals and my interpretation of them?
