My newest sketchbook paintings! Water Color!

To me this painting is about excuses. About how when someone wrongs you, crosses your boundaries, makes you feel uncomfortable, if they are someone you love, you excuse it. Time and time again you let it happen because in your mind, its worth sacrificing your comfort to be with someone you love. In the painting you see the young woman ask her partner to not poopoo in the middle of Walmart, like its already happened before. Shes hopeful that he will listen this time but despite what he says to comfort her, his words are hallow. Empty promises he gives purely for show. And she turns a blind eye to his obvious lies.
