Neil is a princess (not really - prince) and secretly a mage who’s being sent to wed Riko on his 18th birthday. Jean is his personal knight and only guard.

Andrew finds them when Jean is trying to make Neil run knowing Riko will kill Jean. Neil is absolutely not going to let Jean face Riko alone.

Neil and jean spent summers in evermore and winters at his father’s. It’s hard to say which was worse.

Neil has healing magic but it’s been overused for the wrong reasons and it hurts him now to use it.
