Bananas Foster has an addiction to being the center of attention so Burlesque is the perfect medium. He got his start dancing at Poledello (now Athena) in Tacoma back in 2013. His first true act of burlesque was at the Lord Franzannian Vaudeville show that following year and he's never looked back since. This blue eyed temptress began her flexibility training in gymnastics at the age of three, by 5 she was a bouncing beaver as her local high school’s mascot. She continued with gymnastics for another ten years. All the while loving the stage and grasping any opportunity to perform, whether it be gymnastics or dance. Miss Naughty dipped her toes into square dancing, folk, cabaret and everything in between, this led to finding a passion for belly dancing. After several years of performing with a local troupe, that led her to Seattle for more intense training, she brought her enthusiasm to Olympia, co-teaching Tribal Style Belly Dance, and co-starting a performance troupe. She began to hear whispers of “burlesque”, her dearest friend was enticing her to embark on her own as a soloist, with the promise of sparkly costumes. May B. Naughty had found her home! Thus began Rock Candy Burlesque in November of 2011. Keep an eye out for this little beauty she will surprise you around every curve! She discovered Burlesque after a few years of training and performing Bellydance in the Olympia area. Her love of the stage came from her fascination with Latin American Vedettes and late night adult humor. In 2011 she co-founded Rock Candy Burlesque, where she proudly served until 2016 as a performer as well as graphic artist, social media guru and webmistress for the troupe. She’s eclectic and classic with a dash of Latin spice, she’s Olympia’s Mamacita, La Hot Perlita Picante! Hailing originally from the East Coast, Kristina Weena is too much of a performer to limit her enormous talents to one character or gender! She got the hankering for drag and burlesque about a decade ago, while still living down south. After moving to Philadelphia, she produced and directed a few local events in Philadelphia, including a post apocalyptic fashion show for the Fringe. After a short stint as roller derby fresh meat, she started doing drag as Sven Handelsbod in 2006. For many years, she cut her teeth on creatively taking off her clothes at Pousse Café, a monthly amateur dyke strip night. In 2007, Kristina became one of the founding members of the Liberty City Kings Drag and Burlesque (LiCK), Philadelphia’s award-winning queer drag and burlesque troupe. With LiCK, Weena’s many personas (like Peachy La Fever) appeared at such venues as the Diabolique and Libertine Balls, Philadelphia Pride, Vixens and Vagabonds Queer and Kinky Cabaret, the Pleasure Garden, and various queer dance nights and benefits. In 2009, one of her personas, portly, bicurious fanboy Lance Fennig, was crowned Mr. Drag King Philadelphia. Upon moving to the West Coast in 2010, Sven and Peachy made appearances at the Contraceptive Cabaret in Olympia, Fresh Faces Cabaret in Seattle, and the Fat-A-Licious Fashion Show in Portland. One of Lance’s old LiCK numbers is an ode to moustaches; a love that continues – Kristina is one of the champions of the 2011 Whiskerinas’ First National Ladies Fake Beard and Moustache Competition. She has been gradually introducing her many personas to Olympia with Rock Candy Burlesque.
