1. Alpha hates the omega because o reminds him of someone he used to know, and love, and has since lost. Either a past lover, family member, etc.. Loving this omega is just too painful.

2. Alpha hates the omega and hates that he can't stop feeling protective over them and worrying about their safety. Even though he HATES o, he still doesn't want them to get hurt...unless he's the one doing the hurting.

*I realized after I finished you were asking about my favorites lol, here are some I just made up, I'll make another post with the actual answer tomorrow lol*

1. alpha/omega but the omega initiated it. They were crushing on the alpha for a long time and FINALLY worked up the courage to talk to them. Alpha was amused and went along with it, eventually fell in love.

2. alpha/omega but they're from two different cultures that have different beliefs about dynamics. Alpha comes from an alpha first culture, omega comes from an omega first culture. A slow burn, misunderstood, romance

3. alpha/omega with a bad boy (or girl) alpha. They usually live for thrill and danger, but their omega shows them that a softer slower life can be rewarding too.

4. ^reverse of above

5. alpha/omega but the omega is the breadwinner. After they deliver a litter, the alpha is the one to stay home. It takes some adjusting, but in the end, it's more rewarding than anything they've ever done.

6. alpha/omega dating. Trading handmade gifts, baked goods, or artwork with each other. The omega keeps everything and makes a "museum of us" exibit at their wedding.

7. shy alpha as a secret admirer to their omega. The omega is smart and catches on but waits for the alpha to say something. Eventually, after falling for the alpha through their love letters, the omega can't take it and sends them a letter back.

8. wealthy alpha begging their omega to stop working at the job they hate, and that they don't need to work again if they don't want to, but the omega (stubborn) demands to stay to "see the place burn".

9. young starcrossed alpha/omega lovers running away in the middle of the night to start their own pack.

omegaverse AU were referring to or "caring" about people's dynamics is an incredibly outdated point of view. Part one???

A teen brings home a love interest for the first time, and at the dinner table, Grandad inquires about what their dynamics are. Teen is super embarrassed, and Mom/Dad loudly reminds Grandad that that isn't acceptable to ask someone. Grandad says that he thinks love interest is a *insert dynamic* because of *insert random reason* Mom loudly reprimands him for jumping to ridiculous conclusions. Teen admits that they don't even know what Love interest is. Love interest just giggles as the whole family gets so protective on their behalf, not saying that grandad was in fact right.

In this AU scents can carry emotions, but cannot tell you what dynamic another person is in. Instead of smelling heat/rut they would have a general scene of desire and need.

Lore: Presenting

Presenting occurs when children "come of age", and usually happens during mid-late puberty, anywhere from ages 12-15.

During this time their dynamic characteristics begin to show, and they finish their physical development, just like humans.

The child's scent and sense of smell are the most important changes during this period. As physical changes will take longer to complete as their body matures. Their sense of emotionality will also change and can cause changes in their mental health or personality. Nonsexual dynamic-based urges such as nesting or scenting personal property also solidify.

It takes about a month, a full lunar cycle, for a child to complete the presentation process. During this time, parents may choose to keep their child home from school to stop them from getting overwhelmed in their "new" body.

Unlike humans, going through this change is cause for celebration. The Mutantur pars lunae, or Changing Moon Party is thrown by parents/families where they show off their child who is now considered a young adult, and announce their dynamic. For reference, it can be compared to a Bar/Bat Mitzvah crossed with a Sweet Sixteen or Quinceanera but is not attached to any specific birthday.

Like the name suggests, a Muntantur Pars Lunae is thrown the day after the second full moon of a child's presentation. If a child happens to begin presenting on the day of the full moon, the party can be held back for a cycle.

In terms of timing and scale, planning for this party begins shortly after a child hits puberty so that when the presenting phase begins the arraignments have basically all been made for the party. At the very least, families have a month to prepair.

The lavishness of the celebration depends on the family. Poor families often don't have the money for large gatherings and gifts, but it is customary to still celebrate in small ways. Often, the pack will throw something together for their child, as it is an important milestone in any cub's life. Middle and upper-class families may have a party that includes people from outside the pack/their immediate family. This is a significantly larger party that may last a few days.

Royal families view the "Muntantur" as a grand event and may last a full lunar cycle. Their kingdoms will often be included in the festivities, and like human royal children, the public often speculates on which dynamic they will be years before it happens. During a royal Muntantur, it is customary for other royal families, nobles, etc.. to approach the King or Queen with a letter of intention, detailing their desire to bond packs through marriage (using their child or young pack member and the newly presented royal cub). This begins the child's "debutante" period where they will be expected to be in public more often and show off their talents/personality.

*Twins, triplets, etc.. normally present in the same lunar cycle and so they have combined Muntanturs. While identical twins have the highest probability of all multiples of having the same dynamic, this is still very improbable.

big cuddly alpha in love with an omega who doesn't nest. Alpha always coming home with nesting supplies, omega just grinning and bearing it. One day the omega can't take it and finally tells alpha that they don't nest. The alpha is upset until the omega encourages them to make one of their own, and they love it!

endlessly chatty beta with a deaf crush. Thinks they're being ignored until they realize! Beta starts to learn sign to connect with them. Crush is tickled pink by the gesture, knew that the beta liked them before, just didn't know what to say.

omega with an omega partner. Omega A's nest is really messy and gross because they've been working/busy and Omega B see's that it bothers them. B decides to declutter and spruce it up, and when A comes home they love it!

alpha who grew up held to impossibly high standards. Always trying to become something they feel is the "perfect" version of themself. Their beta partner, wanting to assure them that they're loved for who they are in the now, complements the alpha and tells other people how proud of the alpha they are in public. This warms the alpha's heart because their parents never said stuff like that.

alpha freaking out about becoming a dad! their pregnant partner makes them nervous because they're isn't anything they can do to "help" or "protect" physically, until the birth.

beta caught in a love triangle. Hates it because they don't want to let either one down, and doesn't know which one to choose but lives for the drama and anticipation of it all.

1. Alphas trying to buy an omega's affection, but the beta who has actually spent time with her gets a better gift because they listened.

2. alphas being nervous to group court if the beta is involved because betas are stereotypically better at the process.

In General

3. gift-giving, especially handmade gift-giving is REALLY important.

4. dates that get more extravagant as the couple gets closer.

5. the fifth date is a general when they decide to be "together" or not. Partner A will present Partner be with a scented item to be added to their nest or den.

6. on the first date, its customary to bring your partner you've cooked/baked for them.

7. wedding rings having a strand of Partner A and Partner B's hair sodered in it (or their wolves' fur) to symbolize a four-way union.

Couple Dynamics

8. omega or beta partners letting the alpha partner take charge of the date planning because it makes them feel like a protector/in charge.

9. alpha partners getting out of their comfort zone and having PDA with their omega partner because they know it makes them happy.

10. alpha or omega partners coming home with stories from work, that they've made up, to that they've heard because they know their beta partner feels love when they can "solve" problems.

11. alpha x alpha partners spending time together by going hiking, for walks, running, or kayaking.

12. beta x beta partners loving spending time at coffee shops, bars, libraries, or community socials showing each other off and meeting new people.

In a scenario where an Omega, whom is fearful of vulnerability, goes into heat, and their (perhaps fated) Alpha finds them in distress but cannot help due to the Omega screaming and snapping for them to get away from them, what is the best course of action for an Alpha to take? (also do you have any fics that may have their take on this sort of scenario?)

Well I’d say consent is key so the alpha should make sure the omega is safe and then get as far away as possible.

Though in this situation it seems like they just don’t want to emotionally open up, which would be a bit different than fearing the alpha or whatever.

When an omega goes into heat (at least traditionally your au may differ) they have lots of cramps, hot flashes, and misc pains that can only be quelled by getting knotted. And it doesn’t matter who is doing it as long as it’s happening. Of course it’s best to have someone you care about with you, but heat centers often have alphas available if you don’t have an alpha in your life and you want to get through your heat. *You have to consent to this and go before your heat starts*

This leads to a lot of bedroom time and adult wrestling until the omegas heat has gone away. It’s not really a sign of vulnerability to let an alpha knot you during your heat. It’s probably more vulnerable to get knotted when you aren’t it heat and of are clear mind.

But back to perhaps the omega is afraid for their life and unsafe and unwilling to be knotted during their heat (that would be A LOT of will power) see above.

It would be painful for an alpha to walk away, emotionally. Especially if their soulmates or something of the like but I think an honorable alpha would. Up to you.

Any headcanons about Alpha's gaining sympathy weight after there Omega gets pregnant?

Sure here we go.

1. Omega is hungry, obviously, but not they're hungry for two. They've always loved to cook and now with pregnancy leave they've got a lot of time on their hands. So of course they're always cooking. And they can't eat it all and they need a taste tester of course. Alpha, supportive as always, is there to help. But the weight they put on can't be blamed on the baby.

2. Omega feels self-conscious during the pregnancy. They've battled body image issues their entire life and gaining weight in new places this quickly isn't helping. Alpha tells them that they're still beautiful in their eyes, and can always get into fitness after the baby comes. Omega isn't sure, so Alpha gains weight too because if they gain together they can lose together. "In it together forever"

3. All of Omega's cravings just happen to be Alpha's favorite foods. Which means when they hit, Alpha just can't say no to stopping at the new BBQ spot, getting curly fries, or a large twist in a cake cone. Day or night.
