Commit to yourself, for yourself.
No one else has to live the consequences of your actions but yourself, so why rob yourself the opportunity to live the best kind of consequence? read more
when people say you have to live with the consequences of your actions. Do yourself a favor and remember that those consequences bear a 50/50 chance of being all the good things you want and all the bad things you would love to avoid. and remember that, that 50% is based on the series of decisions you make and act on.
Results of our actions isn't something to be associated with negativity. the Consequences of your actions have the equal chance of being positive. Just don't be afraid to remember that, and work towards it. We're never 100% right in our choices, but even when we fail, they are not precursors for further failure unless you let it be.
I can't lie, i'm very familiar with the train of thought: "i've failed all my life at this, therefore i am never going to success at that" But that is a complete lie. Everything we have done does not have any connections to the things we can do- it does if we allow it to, if we believe it does, they will.
So whatever dreams you have in your life, remember that you live with the consequences of your actions. If you blame others for the unsightly circumstances you've found yourself in, sometimes it can rightfully their fault, people do shit things... But whether or not it is or isn't, holding that in your heart will keep you in a vicious cycle. You will never find the answer to your problems because you believe the answer lays in the person you blame. But really, the answer lays in you asking yourself “so what am i going to do about it to move on with my life and be a better me”?
no one is perfect. The journey to being a better person and reaching your goals is difficult. but think about this: if you put at least 1% of effort towards your goal everyday; do at least one thing productive with your time everyday be it a direct action (i.e. if you're an artist, create a piece) or indirectly (i.e. if you're a dancer catch up on industry knowledge) then it's something. do that for 30 days & that's 30%, 365 days later, it's 365(%) there's so many things that we have to get over to continue to push forward. emotional heartbreak, family problems, just the general unforeseen circumstances that can throw you off, make time for that; don't ignore the pain, let it seep through but don't allow these things stop you from completing that that 1% everyday.
Sometimes to have something worth waking up or living for, you have to firstly get up and get started.
whilst talking to a friend i met yesterday, he said a statement that has stuck in the forefront of my mind. i loved how truthful it was: "if you believe you can or can't so something, in both cases, you're right"
your happiness is in your own hands; take responsibility of your actions. This could mean getting out of bed at 5:30am because it will help make the plans for the day go as smoothly and productively as possible- do it. It could mean ensuring that you do 4 hours of revision for an exam everyday; even if you take breaks in between, 4 hours must be done; after a week, those 4 hours add up to 28 hours of acquired knowledge which, could mean a grade up from a C to a B. it all adds up!
Thinking about the bigger picture all at once can hold you back because of the pressure, have your goal in mind, but remember you cannot become a success overnight without having done the hard work! Think of every action as one step, hone yourself into it, do the best you can at it and when it's completed, start making the next step...sooner or later you'll look back and see how far you've come. Just don't give up. it's better to pause for a second to reflect, feel or prepare for the on-going journey than it is to stop forever and regress.
