@omoon [ LUNA & LUTHOR ]
There are... people. On the moon.
There are people on the moon!
There aren’t supposed to be... people on the moon?!
Or maybe... these are the people that Luthor was sent to protect. To watch over. He knew his Father had given him a mission of the upmost importance--but he could have never expected that the mission would be so great! A secret moon colony of humans---on the moon?!
He’s not sure if this mission requires stealth---but in truth, his family was never the best at stealth, anyway. Most superheroes find themselves having a golden rule of sorts---no killing, no bone shattering harder than a good, long hospital bill can fix. But The Umbrella Academy never was bound by those particular rules. Their Father was a more practical sort. Criminals don’t have rights in America. And while a child can be trained to restrain someone---to take them down non-lethally----accidents still happen, and they especially happen when your powers are ‘summon Eldritch abominations’ and ‘stab people real good.’ Luthor, with his super strength and agility---was always at risk of snapping off someone’s head when he tried to incapacitate them.
No... The Umbrella Academy was always more for the celebrity showing of superpowered teen soldiers rather than stealth missions.
But this is just a young girl. Luthor stares blankly at her from his spot semi-shrouded by the shadow of the trees.
He tries to rack his brain for Avengers Initiatives---Justice League Initiatives----that required people and TREES on the MOON.
This could be an alien thing, perhaps. The Umbrella Academy never really had to deal with aliens.
He approaches the girl with caution. His suit snuggly fitted, he walks past the Attilian trees and waves hello to her where she’s seated, on a bench no less, as if this is just some kind of normal city, and not an UNDISCLOSED location on the moon that is simply never been explored or mentioned to the general public!
“Hello,” he signs, hoping the girl---alien?--perhaps speaks American Sign Language. He doesn’t dare take off his suit, in case his atmospheric readings are false. His tech could just be broken or confused. Or maybe this is... some kind of mirage. “What is this place?”
