On today’s episode of I’m thinking about making yet another self insert character but for a different fandom and I’m spending most of my night thinking about it

ALSO I ordered a new mattress yesterday! It’ll be here late this week or early next week. I’m so so excited because we both have trouble sleeping and my bf has a chronic back problem and we suspect it’s from the mattress because it’s so old.

I honestly think investing in a mattress is SO underrated when you consider that you spend 1/4 of your day on it.

Sleeping alone is strange.

The nights I slept alone this year where scarce.

Most of the time Purple is next to me. Occasionally I sleep next to Pink.

The only nights I sleep alone is when I work the nightshift or travel for work.

I don't sleep well most nights but when I sleep alone it's even worse. Whenever I wake up and feel stressed I usually just need to cuddle closer and it gets better. But when I'm on my own I have to get up and do something like stretch, walk, drink water, pee, wash my face or (like I did last night) take a shower. If none of those things work I stay awake and hope.

On Sleep [aka the good-ish part of sleep deprivation]

Other people: It's so hard to fall asleep, because I need to make sure that my pillow's perfect and I'm not too warm in the middle of the night and my legs are just right and my arm doesn't fall asleep at 3 AM.

Me: *Climbs into bed, closes eyes even though lights are still on* *Falls asleep in under ten minutes*

Hehe, I get to sleep slightly more now because I don’t spend the night from Sunday to Monday wide awake and the Monday sleepwalking - until Walking Dead is on again in October. ;-)
