There are plenty of reasons to thank TWO OWLS tonight. Not only has the production two piece from Los Angeles introduced us to Datsik and Baishau’s project together, named Ephwurd, but they’ve given Ephwurd’s bass house track Function, featuring London duo Oneeva, a mighty jarring, brain melting remix, too. The original is already a dynamic whomping thriller. You can stream the original, here. TWO OWLS treats the track to a whirlwind edit that rises from cool misty introspection to metallic buzzing, bass thundering heights of dubstep ecstasy. It’s an exhilarating remix straight from a sci-fi tale from the future.

Ephwurd Release Lyric Video for "Function" ft. Oneeva

Bringing a vintage flair to the modern era, Ephwurd teamed up with Oneeva for their new single “Function,” a trippy, bass-driven journey featuring the vocals of Oneeva’s Natalie Kyoko Waters, whose silky and emotive voice evokes memories of trance classics. “Function” lets Waters’s song shine through before its wobbling bass line kicks in, layered with serrated electro synths and effervescent melodies. With lyrics that hint at technology malfunction, the track is a plays with the intersection of humanity and artificial intelligence, all the while being a guaranteed dance floor slayer.
