Find a cure for Garmadon -Part2-Sacrifice
Thanks Anonymous for the request!!
Part 1Lloyd tells Sora, Arin and wyldfyre about his father's poison. They find an interesting scroll from The First Spinjitzu Master, which says that he found a cure for Garmadon..
Part2-The journey of The First Spinjitzu master and his sacrifice to find a cure.
For a long time, we have been searching for a cure for Garmadon, ever since the bull was bitten, and that happened when he was just a boy.
I never stopped hoping, but over the years I watched as Wu and Garmadon grew. As they matured, Garmadon turned more towards evil, yet he fought. He fought as best as he could, and that is why I am proud of him.
If I do not return from this journey, please let someone tell him how proud I am.
A few days before this, I found something very important. I would love to write how I found it, but unfortunately, I do not have the time for that.
Now I am on my way, riding my loyal dragon, headed to the Cloud Kingdom. There, I aim to speak with the writers of destiny to scout the territory for the continuation of my search, to try to find out immediately what my chances of success or failure might be.
Because I know that this will be a perilous journey, and I will not risk everything if I am not at least somewhat sure of success.
~~~~~~
A few days later, exhausted but happy from the feeling of the wind in my hair, I arrived in the Cloud Kingdom.
"Stop!" The guards immediately halted me. "Who are you?"
"The one who needs to talk to the writers of destiny." I answered calmly. "Urgently."
"And why should we allow you that?" One of the guards raised an eyebrow angrily. "Who are you, anyway, stranger?"
I sighed; I didn't like to flaunt titles, but it seemed I had to. "I am the first Spinjitzu Master, creator of Ninjago, and several other realms," I said as proudly as I could.
At that, they just stared blankly and led me to the writer of destiny.
"Please, good writer, tell me if my quest has any meaning." I almost began to beg on my knees. "Will my Garmadon ever be able to be happy?"
"To the first question, the answer is mixed," the writer of destiny sighed. "But to the second, I am sure that yes. One day."
At that, I sighed and thanked the writer.
"Please explain your first answer." I pleaded again. "I need to know if I should embark on this deadly path."
"I cannot agree to that," she sadly shook her head, "but perhaps one day."
"So there is hope?" I asked tensely.
"There is," the writer of destiny nodded. Many more words were exchanged, but due to my poor feeling and the importance of this task, I only wrote down a few.
~~~~~~
I spent two days in the Cloud Kingdom with the writers of destiny, and there I rested.
After that, my dragon and I set off for the most dangerous part of Ninjago. This part is located at the very edge of my realm, and luckily, almost no one knows about it, except for me.
I know I created it, but at the moment, the power of evil over it was stronger. Why did I decide to go to such a place?
Well, on the scroll I found, it states that the snake's venom cures with snake poison. I decided it was best to procure more poison.
And since the snake was dead, this place was the only one where I could find what I was looking for.
By snake, I mean the female Great Devourer, the one that died long ago. My journey was not easy; my dragon and I endured many hardships. I have no time to recount them all, but when we arrived at the place we were looking for, we were already covered in wounds and sweat.
The place we sought was the Temple of Darkness. All around it, for miles, it was in eternal night. The temple itself was blacker than the darkest night and eerily magnificent.I'm the most powerful being I knew, and I was still a little afraid.
"This is for my Garmadon," I reminded myself aloud.
"Now it is too late." Hunger crept like from the depths of the temple.
"No!" I said firmly. "Come out and fight me, Overlord!"
"Hahahaha," Overlord laughed. "Your Garmadon will be my pawn."
"Never!" I shouted defiantly, knowing that this must not be true, which is why I was here.
"The very fact that you are here confirms that you are a coward!" Overlord mocked.
"I created all of this." I said boldly. "I am not afraid of you. Come out and fight!"
"I'm afraid I cannot," Overlord laughed. "Fight with my army!"
"What army..." I looked around confused, but then I was horrified. I saw no army because the army began to rise from the ground. Skeletons began to rise for Overlord.
"Stop! I command you!" I poured all my strength into my voice, but it did not work. I was desperate. I was not prepared for anything like this.
The first skeletons came to fight me, and I barely held them off. I was already tired before; it was only a matter of time before they overpowered me.
"Come out and fight me yourself, coward!" I shouted desperately, gasping as I pushed a skeleton off my neck.
There were too many.
"And so the first Spinjitzu Master, the creator of Ninjago, perishes," Overlord savored. "And when he is gone, no one will be able to stop me. Unless he now uses all his strength and escapes, but remains without a cure. Then I will use Garmadon!"
"Never!" I shouted without thinking. "Garmadon will get the cure."
"And how do you plan to do that?" Overlord sneered. I knew that what I was doing was dangerous and that I would die afterward, but I had to.
This was for Garmadon, the son I love no matter what he thinks about it. I knew I owed him this as a father. I shoved the last skeleton off me and raised my staff high.
I began to speak the words I swore I would never say, words that were simply too powerful. The words caused the sky to turn green, and the Departed Realm to open.
"Who disturbs the dead!" A voice sliced through the portal. I knew I was making a mistake and that many spirits would escape into my peaceful world.
"I, the first Spinjitzu Master!" I shouted with the last atoms of strength. "I demand the army of the dead to protect me! Now!"
"As you wish..." the voice reluctantly replied. "But I hope you are ready for sacrifice."
My heart tightened a bit at that, but I was ready. I knew what this entailed.
"Send them." I said firmly, and the army of the dead began to emerge.
"NO!" Overlord screamed from the temple as the green tide overwhelmed his skeletons. I collapsed into unconsciousness from exhaustion.
~~~~~~
As soon as I woke up twenty minutes later, I began to feel the burden of sacrifice. My body was weak, and I knew my time was running out.
I looked around and saw that the thread was almost finished. My army had once again defeated Overlord's. Only small squads remained, but I knew the dead would take care of it.
I stumbled back to the temple. Descending the black steps wearily, I entered into near-total darkness. The only light came from the purple diamonds on the walls, but there were few of them.
In the center was an altar, and on it, a glowing blue vial.
"Finally!" I shouted with relief and moved my weary body.
"You didn’t really think you could take that so easily!" A voice from the shadows sliced through the air as it emerged.
I was not afraid of him, even though I knew it was Overlord. As exhausted as I was, he was too. I could see it on his monstrous face.
"Let me take this without a fight." I calmly negotiated. "You know you will lose in it. My army..."
"So be it!" Overlord interrupted me harshly, and his outburst startled me. "You can kill him if you don’t have a good dose." He laughed.
"Don’t worry, I have it." I replied grimly. "But you will die here anyway, and I will take Ninjago." Overlord laughed in my face, and I barely restrained myself from striking him in anger.
"My sons will be here, as will the green ninja who appears in my dreams." I said calmly.
"That green ninja is Garmadon's son? My pawn?" Overlord laughed.
"Not anymore." I triumphantly raised the poison.
"Just keep hoping." Overlord hissed. "That poison will not arrive in time, and likewise, Garmadon will not have a cure... He eould never have a son.Even if he does, he will be raised by his evil!"
"You are wrong about Garmadon." I said sincerely, even though I feared that phrase about the cure not arriving in time. "He is holding up much better than you think."
"Time will tell." Overlord snarled.
"It will." I said tiredly and turned to raise the cure victoriously and gaze at the sky. "It will come one day, I know that. The writers of destiny told me."
"Too late!" Overlord shouted after me. "It will come too late!"
"It is never too late," I said and stumbled down the steps.
As I returned, I released the dead and continued my journey. Unfortunately, my faithful dragon only survived for a short while due to injuries, and I buried him with sorrow in a village.
"Goodbye, my dear friend," I whispered as tears streamed down my face. "Thank you forever for this. We will meet in the next world; I will not be long."
Those words will be true. Now I find myself in a monastery; I barely made it here and am dying.
I left the cure in a secret place, which I will write in the sequel. Please take it to Garmadon if no one returns before I die. I believe it is never too late, and whoever finds this is destined.
May fate bless you, and tell my sons how much I love them and how proud I am of them, especially Garmadon, for he was much less aware than Wu.
May his focus be the living sacrifice I made for him because I believe in him. Thank you, dear reader, from my heart. And the cure is located...
