Liberal Leader Mark Carney laid out his party's public safety plan on Thursday, promising to crack down on gangs, protect children, reduce intimate partner violence and tackle the illegal flow of drugs and guns coming from the United States.  "Tariffs are not the only American policies that are threatening our economy and our society. They're also threatening the safety of our communities," Carney said during a campaign stop in Brampton, Ont. "Criminals are taking advantage of irresponsible American gun laws, and their weak border enforcement, to bring illegal guns into Canada." Carney also said large U.S.-based online platforms have become "seas of racism, misogyny, antisemitism, Islamophobia and hate in all its forms" and that those platforms are being used by criminals to harm Canadians, especially children.

Congratulations to Elis Lundholm, of Sweden, who is the first publicly identified trans athlete in Winter Olympics history. Lundholm is a moguls skier who competes for Sweden at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Lundholm, who identifies as male and uses the pronouns he/him, was required to compete in the women’s mogul skiing event due to the International Olympic Committee’s restrictions on transgender participation.

When asked by the press about online hate and abused directed at transgender people, Lundholm replied:

"(I don’t) give a damn!”

I don't usually make posts myself, I'm just here for the vibes and reblogs, but now I really feel the need to comment on something.

I've been seeing alot of anti drivers posts, mostly Lando and Oscar and what the actual fuck?

Like I get that you won't like everyone you come across in life, people are different, and that's totally okay. But to actively be anti someone who you've never met is to me absurd? (And im talking about normal people/celebs now and not criminals or other questionable people ofc)

Oscar and Lando are human beings with feelings just like you and me. It's so easy to forgett that people have feelings with today's climate on the internet, but please if you don't like someone, or just don't vibe with a driver (lord knows i don't vibe with some drivers) just ignore them? Don't root for them. Put your energy into supporting the people and drivers you do like! The world doesn't need more negativity than it already had with war, humanitarian catastrophes, the youths anxiety, the list could go on...

With that said, this is not at all a dig at actual criticism towards teams and drivers, I'm meaning the hateful comments I've seen across social media.

Anyways, that's just what I wanted to say. Please remember that people aren't either good or bad but that a person can be good but still do bad things, just as a bad person can do good things.

the racism against Indians online is actually unbelievable. I recently got Instagram for the first time and the amount of hatred I saw for brown people was crazy. The worst part is no one is taking any active measures to stop the hate against Indians and some of us even go along with the hate. It's so saddening to see a culture just being reduced to it's worst characteristics..
