Your Pov:
The cold sheets loosely wrapped around your almost naked body, the smell of the earth and him wafting off of them and into your nose. Your eyes fluttered open, your right arm resting by your head as you turned to look out at the sky. The sky was a light shade of oranges and blues, soft white fluffy clouds streaking across.
You were partly awake, having only fallen asleep for a few hours before waking up now. Your mind was filled with thoughts of him. The way he grabbed at your hips, caressed and worshipped your body like a queen. How he made you feel all kinds of emotions. All of it made a blush rise up your neck and to your cheeks, swallowing the small lump in your throat.
The gentle breeze in the air blew through the sky and into your room, blowing around the curtains that hung from your large canopy bed. You exhaled, watching your breath turn to a cloud in front of your face as you lay there, enjoying the warmth your sheets provided you.
You pushed back the blankets, the crisp cold air bit at your exposed thighs as your feet made contact with the clean, shiny floor beneath you. You sniffled a bit from the cold, grabbing your thin, white, silk robe off the coat rack next to you. You quickly put it on, sighing as the smooth fabric touched your skin, not that a thin silk robe would keep you warm.
You patted out onto the balcony, crossing your arms in front of yourself as you placed them on the porcelain railing, watching the colors mix and dance across the sky as the sun came up. A warm smile crossed your face as you remembered the previous nights events. Just the mere thought filled you to your core with warmth.
You had small bruises on your hips where his hands had been, and small red spots where his mouth had been to kiss and suck, leaving behind his mark. You remembered how his large, warm hands left behind a trail of love and lust wherever they touched, leaving your body wanting more.
You didn’t realize how cold you actually were. You didn’t notice the many goosebumps that appeared on your skin each time the breeze blew by you. All because your mind could only think of him.
You and Roan hadn’t been together long, merely a couple of weeks. The relationship was still so new and exciting, like two young teenagers high on love for the first time. It was something you wanted to last forever and you hoped that he wanted that too.
You didn’t think you would find love, ever. Being trapped on the ark for years and then sent down to earth to die with a bunch of other teenagers made it seem like everything was over. Like there was no hope. But, when you guys found out that earth was survivable it sparked hope in you that maybe, just maybe, you would find someone that would love you.
However, that never seemed to happen.
When you hadn’t met that person yet you began to give up, slowly but surely. You watched all of your friends around you love someone, lose someone, be with someone. But you? You hadn’t even come close to experiencing what love was. That is, until you met Roan.
When you first met him it was nothing but silent glances and stares from across the room. Then, it turned into small conversations at dinner or when you would run into each other in the hallways. Soon that blossomed into what it is now, a new loving relationship.
Roan didn’t talk much when you first met him, he was rather simple and said what was on his mind in few words. But now, talking is something he always does when he’s with you. You remember how he spoke last night, his voice sending chills up your spine with each word that left his slightly chapped lips. You moved your hand down your chest, feeling the swell of your breasts as the memory of you pressed against his toned and muscular chest flashed through your mind.
The door to your room creaked open, a small smile coming to your face as you turned to look over your shoulder. Your robe blew slightly behind you, sending another chill up your legs. You wore nothing but your undergarments underneath the robe that was tied loosely to your body. Not caring if your lover could see everything or not.
“Why aren’t you asleep?” He took long but fast strides over to you. His large, warm hands running along your arms, warming you up instantly as he stepped in front of you. You sighed in content, the feeling of his rough hands rubbing up and down your arms created a heat inside you.
“I just couldn’t sleep.” Your words were nothing but a whisper, your breath fogging out in front of you even with how quiet your voice was. He looked down at you, wrapping one arm around the small of your back and pressing you into his chest. You inhaled his scent, the smell of earth coming off of him. Your soft fingers rested on his clothed chest, your index finger running over the leather strap that ran across his shirt.
“These aren’t the type of clothes you should be wearing when it’s this cold outside.” His voice was deep and soothing, like honey. But also glossed over with worry as he eyed you, his pants growing tighter the longer he gazed upon you. You were beautiful to him in every way. You let a small chuckle escape your throat as you pressed the side of your head into his chest. His steady heartbeat pounded against your ear, giving you a sense of relief knowing he was safe, warm, and healthy.
“I didn’t feel like getting dressed.” You breathed out. It was true. You didn’t feel like putting on all your clothes in that moment, not wanting to feel the heavy weight of them pulling you down. You wanted to enjoy the moment of freedom you had. Listening to the peaceful sounds of the wind as it blew through the trees.
A small quiet gasp left your throat as Roan picked you up bridal style, your arms wrapping around his neck as he carried you inside towards the large bed in the room. The feeling of his leather and coarse fur coat tickled your soft, smooth skin. Earning a small giggle from you as he gently set you down on the bed.
He hovered over you just long enough to place a sweet, innocent kiss to your lips before standing back in front of you. He began taking off his heavy clothing, letting it drop to the floor in swift movements as you watched him, eyes full of nothing but love and admiration.
You laid there, one exposed leg sticking out from your robe as you kept yourself propped up on your elbows for support. Your eyes danced over his exposed chest as he tossed his shirt to the ground. You admired the many scars on his body, scanning over his toned abs and chest made your heart flutter in your chest.
Finally, when he was stripped down to almost nothing he crawled into bed with you. Supporting himself over you once again to give you another kiss, a longer and more passionate one this time. Your lips molded with together, firmly pressing against each other as one of his arms wrapped around you, lifting you up and off the bed and into his chest. Your hands moving up to wrap around his neck, running your hands through his hair at the base of his neck at the same time.
When you pulled away you were both breathing heavily, resting your foreheads against each other as you caught your breath. Your eyes fluttered shut as he moved to lay down, taking you with him.
He laid on his side, grabbing the sheets with his free hand and wrapping the two of you up in them. You let out a breath as the warmth spread around your body. You snuggled into his chest, admiring the way his eyes shined as he looked down at you. You caressed his face, rubbing your thumb along his cheek bone a few times, earning a soft sigh from him in return.
He pressed his hand against the small of your back, the warm touch sending sparks straight to your core. He placed a loving kiss on your forehead, making you giggle from the tickling sensation his stubble gave when it touched your skin.
This is what love was. This is what true love was.
