Small explanation: My take on this trend has multiple layers. It's Carmen trying to find her true heritage, Jonathan trying to find his brother but finding the love of his life instead. Bob Newby had felt like a part of him had been missing since Josefa left town when they were teenagers. It's also Valerie trying to find her sister. And the rest is history, as they like to say.

New Years Challenge ➞ Day Eight (January 1st): New Year, New Hope, New Beginnings [1/2]

It’s the New Year! Start it out feeling fresh, and introduce an OC you haven’t got the chance to yet!

⤷ Ginny and Gordie McGowan arrived in Hawkins, Indiana for their sixth foster home in five years, five weeks before the disappearance of Will Byers and all the craziness that would besiege Hawkins for the next several years. Gordie, a passionate athlete, had become fast friends with Lucas Sinclair after the two ended up in a basketball camp together. Lucas invited Gordie to meet his friends and the four boys eventually invited Gordie to join them for D&D. And then Will Byers disappeared. Meanwhile, Ginny was content to remain by herself. She had no desire to be here in Hawkins or anywhere, but she remained for her brother. He was her only reason for being there. Steve Harrington was just some obnoxious, arrogant annoyance… at least that’s how he starts out.

It's the New Year! Start it out feeling fresh, and introduce an OC you haven't got the chance to yet!

Leilani Kahele grew up in Hawaiʻi surrounded by music, warmth, and a sense of freedom that disappeared when her parents divorced and she moved to Hawkins with her overworked nurse mother. The small town never quite knew what to do with her bold laugh, sharp tongue, and refusal to shrink herself, branding her “different” long before she learned to protect her heart. Left alone most nights, Lani raised herself on cassette tapes and late-night singing she kept private, taking a job at Family Video to help with bills and escape the silence. There she met Eddie Munson, recognizing immediately the familiar armor of humor and rebellion hiding deep kindness and fear. When Hawkins turned on him, Lani didn’t hesitate to stand between Eddie and the town’s cruelty, proving that while Hawkins might never feel like home, love, loyalty, and chosen family could still grow in its shadows.

OC New Year's Day Six: Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks

Juno, Cordelia Love's fifth album, was released on April 4th, 2023. With no lead-up or promotion for the album, it was a surprise hit due to the fact that it was released on Love and her husband, Kendall Knight's, first wedding anniversary. A return to Love's pop roots, the album was praised for it's consistency and strong writing.

Singles include Juno, Birds of a Feather, and Tears. The music video for Juno was the last to be released, coming out over two years after the album originally dropped. Juno broke the record for most views in one day on Youtube after the final shot revealed that Love was pregnant with the couple's first child.

Sometimes we get tired or bored of an oc or an edit, but there still things we love about them. To reignite our love for these things, we’re going to revise and revamp. Choose an oc, a story, or an edit from the past to to refine and enhance to its fullest potential.

Salina Velasco is a daughter of Hecate, born at the crossroads of magic, music, and rebellion. Raised in a small, neon-lit apartment above her father’s tattoo studio, Salina grew up surrounded by ink, candles, and half-whispered spells she didn’t yet understand. Her mortal father, a quiet, soft-spoken tattoo artist, unknowingly etched protective symbols into his work, while her stepmother - a fierce vocalist in an all-female rock band - taught Salina how to command a room, own her voice, and never apologize for taking up space. With her mother’s magic humming under her skin, Salina has an intuitive grasp of mist manipulation, shadow-walking, and spellcraft, though her powers tend to surge with her emotions.

At Camp Half-Blood, Salina is known for her smoky laugh, sharp wit, and the faint smell of incense that seems to follow her wherever she goes. She’s creative, fiercely loyal, and deeply protective of those she loves, especially Piper McLean, who becomes both her anchor and her muse.
