Linktober Day 6 - Shadow Version -Ooccaa
Painted in PS.
I need to try to get my friend to recreate this for a better quality video, but what's happening is she's standing beside this wall and the Ooccaa's AI can't find a way to land, so it constantly orbits around Link.
I love this hamb boi but he was so rude to the bird(wo)men. Roast him.
I know they look kinda freaky but why tf we have to be so rude to the Ooccaa
Aftermath of SS and the division of Skyloft's people
(This is a great blog, really enjoying reading about everyone’s theories and such :D Here’s something I thought about that I wrote a little “what if?” Zelda fan fic about)
At the end of Skyward Sword, when Zelda announces that she wished to live on the surface, Link and Zelda returned to Skyloft briefly to reunite with their friends and the headmaster, and invite the residents of Skyloft to come with them to start a new community on the surface. Link and Zelda told their tales to those who would listen, but when Zelda confessed she was the reincarnation of Hylia, some of the Skyloftians didn’t believe her and began to see Link and Zelda as heretics. Those who believed in Zelda followed her and Link to live on the surface, and those who were still scared of the surface world/those who did not believe Link and Zelda stayed behind. Eventually, their hatred towards Link and Zelda got so bad, they soon lost ties with Skyloft, which explains why Skyloft was never mentioned in the rest of the timeline and the closest thing there is to it is the legend of the Oocca.
Because the Loftwings were originally created as guardian creatures for the people of Skyloft, when the surface became safe and habitable again, they stopped appearing to both those on Skyloft and the residents of the newly formed Hyrule. In order to make up for this, those who stayed behind on Skyloft slowly combined their forms with the Loftwings and grew wings, but eventually they diminished into the form of the Oocca with the disappearance of the Goddess’s powers (as she was now the mortal Zelda, who eventually died a natural death of old age.) This also explains why the City in the Sky is so mechanical and stays afloat with the use of fans, because with the disappearance of Hylia’s magic, the people of Skyloft used any means necessary to keep them afloat before they turned into the less capable Oocca race
