Unpopular theory:
Ash is older than Gary
Ash’s birthday is May 22 and everyone gets their starter on April 1st.
So that would mean that Gary was born from April 2nd (which would suck) to May 21. It’s much more likely for him to be born later.
The only reasons I can see for the popular theory is that Ash is short and that Gary is more knowledgeable. But Ash is short for his age and intellect doesn’t account for age all the time.
Also, in Pokemon Adventures, Red is older than Blue/Green.
Anyone else agree? Or know a different reason?
