long post, but here's a comic i've worked on over the past 2-3 years. i used to only work on it during my 15 mins breaks at work but i took the time this year to power through and finish it.

it takes place after sachiel saves vik's ass from getting killed- the two have a conversation at a bar where sachi can loosen up a bit from his usual stoic persona.

Nikki/Nerris/Ered?

I feel like I can really only get into poly ships when I also hardcore feel the individual pairs/trios/etc. -- or, more accurately, I love some of them and feel like some of the others are missing a certain something. (That “something,” of course, being another person.) So for this one, I’m being a little generous considering I don’t really feel any of the pairings, but that’s because “awesome lesbian powertrio” is really appealing on every level. Plus all three of these girls just feel some kind of LGBT+, right? They have big gay energy on their own, so I can totally understand people wanting to fit them together to make, like, Gay Voltron or something.

(That might just be regular Voltron. I’ve never seen the show.)

Anyway, what keeps me from being totally on board -- besides being much more into Makkiel and Nerriston, that is -- is that, while there’s evidence for all three of them having some sort of relationship that could grow into romance, they all leave me kind of lukewarm. Nerris/Nikki has cuteness potential, absolutely, but I’m not sure how much they really have in common. And Ered feels considerably older than both of them anyway, so there’s a lot more of a “big sister” vibe there in my opinion.

That being said? If shipping it will get more content of these three interacting, and especially Nerris and Ered -- who had the cutest and most fun episode of the three of them -- then I’m all over it. Give me more girl bonding time!

Day 121 🧹☘️🪨

I’ve run out of things to tidy around the island and my house. Keeping myself busy… literally twenty four seven. I haven’t slept… not like I usually get a lot of sleep but I’ve been awake since yesterday. Gardening, weeding, laying paths. All except around the beach for the most part. Plenty of shells on the beach that I’m not collecting.

I’m still sort of irrationally scared of the airplanes. They were always there before but I got around to ignoring them. The hotel doesn’t seem so scary anymore honestly. I guess it’s really a tourist attraction now…? I guess this isn’t the world I lived in before- I didn’t exist here before, so I guess I don’t have to worry about being known. I guess I can start over.

I did some more work, making furniture and things and selling them to the Nook kids. They had some concern, since I haven’t come in for a few weeks. It reminded me about how I haven’t spoken to Nook himself either. I’m sure he has to do with the whole airport thing, but I don’t really feel like… unpacking all that. Not yet.

Nonetheless I find catharsis in routine… hitting trees and rocks. Maybe I should work on my hobbies.
