at lunch today my friend was going on a rant about ninjago, watch order, lore, etc. and at some point literally starting making a graph to show the chronological lore and I just stared at them for a moment and was like. is this what I sound like talking about kotlc and they said yes. anyways just thought I should share.
NINJAGONINJAGONINJAGONINJAGONINJAGO
ahem-
well kindly inform your friend that they are epic. also the graph was prolly necessary, you would understand even less without the graph.
like the original timeline in the pilot episodes wasn't as complicated, however S1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, and 15 all added events in the timeline backwards. S3, 10, and 12 didn't add anything backwards afaik, but S6 had a whole alternate timeline (got undone due to a wish to a djinn - basically an evil genie), and S11 kinda had someone get sent back in time (half the ninjago community is confused about this one, not the most straightforward).
don't even get me started about Dragons Rising it brought like. so many changes to the timeline. like we've got Source Dragons (basically dragon gods), a good djinn (we were told the djinn were all dead) a clan dedicated to a destructive art, The Forbidden Five (rlly old conquerers who got trapped in an alternate dimension) an age-old tournament which apparently inspired the one in S4, Thunderfang (dragon general who turned evil and was imprisoned), Arc Dragon of Focus (Thundy's enemy), and prolly a bunch of other things which I've forgetten at the moment. oh also all that is only the lore set in the past, the present has got a lot more lore too.
