As you have asked me about ninjago, I have a few queries for you; what are your favorite seasons? Chardcters and of course. What are your thoughts on dragons rising?

favorite seasons would be Hunted (S9), Sons of Garmadon (S8), NDRS3, Seabound (S14), and NDRS2 (in that order). favorite characters are Kai (fiyahhhhh), Zane, and Arin because they're very peak and epic.

oh also I did see you said you liked Possession which would be a solid A-tier buuuut I'm colorblind and spiteful so it gets a B tier due to the overabundance of green.

as for Dragons Rising, I think having two of its seasons in my top 5 Ninjago seasons of all time says a bit about my opinion of it XD anyjay yeah I do enjoy Dragons Rising quite a bit. is definitely distinctly different in terms of style and plot from the original series (for example the seasons are largely continous, unlike S11-15 which were more disconnected) + different mcs (the og 6 aside from Lloyd are a bit more side-character now, kinda like how Wu/Pixal were) which is why I feel some people don't enjoy it, but it is very peak imo :D

i legitimately forgot for a moment that sora isn’t canonically a trans girl. like i just… forgot. yes, she does change her name from her old dead name used by her abusive parents who wanted her to conform and names herself after the being that opened her eyes to what she was doing. yes, she did unlock her super awesome powers by correcting said parent’s use of her dead name. yes, her powers do evolve around change and innovation. yes, she does have extreme insecurity about her abilities and initially attributes them to someone else-not wanting to take credit. and i’m 100% reading way too much into this specific point. but in our world, stem is something viewed as traditionally masculine and so distancing herself from “masculinity” only to realize that’s not what defines your gender?!? her whole thing with cats? idk it feels queer inherently. she’s amazing and i love her. AND im pretty sure the source dragon of focus is agender which i feel like adds an inherent level of gender non-conformity to everyone under their umbrella. yes this includes zane.

keep thinking about how I wrote in my dissertation about how every time a new form of public/social space emerges it's immediately popular with kids and teenagers who see it as a chance at freedom and then adults colonise it and kick them out. this happened with malls in the 80s and diners in the 50s and pool halls in the 20s. my dad was doing research on this trend in like 1975. and I was like "yeah so this is going to happen to the internet" and then five years later every government suddenly decided to ban kids from everywhere online. I hate being right especially when I don't even get paid for it
