OOTD: MONOCHROME SUMMER

    We're entering the month of August in a few days and I can hardly wait for Summer to be over because it is only going to get even warmer before we get a glimpse of Autumn. You'd think this tropical Singaporean is used to this.. very few places use air conditioning here because fresh air is better (I can't agree more). One of the reasons why I like going to the mall these days. Or maybe just linger around the supermarket freezer aisles pretending I can't decide on what to get hehe.

I find great relief with swimming in the late afternoons.. when the pool is partially shaded because I am being sensible :P Anyway, enough of me moaning about the weather. Here's my outfit last weekend x

      This pretty Zara crochet top was purchased last month as part of my birthday present but I only managed to photograph it in the weekend!  .

      I love the subtle layers of the top without making me look wider from top to bottom. Somehow, the palazzo pants help bring balance to my body shape.

      I've been wearing mostly flat shoes all Summer but I thought I'd give these sexy strappy heels a breather! They're my trusty height booster :-)

      Just a touch of gold accessories added to complete my monochrome outfit.

OOTD: Skirt-ing Around

      I have a dark, dark secret. I look at the Zara website a lot. Everyday. Well, almost. I think almost 80% of my clothes are by Zara. There is only one store at the shopping mall near where I live and sometimes I get disappointed because they don't have what I want from the website. Surely they can't be sold out already. Or maybe the new stuff arrive later than big cities like Barcelona and Madrid. Either way, I decided to chance it and bought some online. The verdict? Let's just say I was way, way over the moon. 

    Zara Draped Skirt

  I was a bit nervous about getting the skirt without trying it on. That's the downside of online purchasing. Thank goodness it fitted perfectly! I love the draping effect and it reminds me of Helmut Lang asymmetrical draped jersey skirt. This, for less than a fraction of the price!

    Zara Print Double Layer Sleeveless Top

  I love bold prints and I chose this floral print top to go with the skirt. I like the flattering, loose fit style to balance the silhouette with the skirt.

    Zara Ethnic-style Braided Necklace

  Summer is also about statement jewelry and this is by far, my favourite piece of all time! This was a birthday present and it perfectly, accidentally matched my outfit!
