Hilarious how the current Rocks flashback just feels like a fun gossip party. You have Rocks, Roger, WB, Garp, Reyleigh, and all those figures larger than life, all world altering figures with World-encompassing plans... But none of those plans are the focus of the chapter. Instead we're following Shakky's maid café and idol adventures and honestly? I'm here for it.

The way they describe Shakky as 'A Treasure thats the target of Theft' and how she's now connected to Rocks, and its 42 years before the current time, a few years before God's Valley... and we know Roger's crew showed up for an undisclosed reason... and its where Shanks is heavily implied to be found... and we know Celestial Dragons steal their wives... and Oda's made a very blatant and in your face attempt at making sure we know Shakky is sooo beautiful and loved and everyone wants her. Everyone.

I'm just saying... do you think... Shanks and Shamrock are her's?

op 1157 thoughts : honestly, i’m seeing a lot of people mad that shakky might be the reason (or one of the reasons) for the god valley incident. personally, i’m still excited to see everything play out.

even if shakky was one of the motives, it’s not only because of her beauty. she’s powerful, former empress of amazon lily, and former strong captain of the kuja pirates. there’s more to her than her beauty (that she loves to weaponize to get her way. you go girl !).

plus, i don’t think it will be that simple because the scene is already complicated enough. you have the rocks pirates wanting to throw down imu, rocks is looking for two devil fruits (i’m sure it’s the gomu gomu and the yami yami), we have harald trying to negotiate things for elbaph, we have an ongoing rivalry between garp and roger, harald is kinda coined to kill rocks, we have sengoku, garp and tsuru trying to plead for harald, loki is having his own teenage outburst.

so already the scene is complicated enough with lots of characters. and we know that all of this will lead to the god valley incident and the death of harald.

my only fear is that oda will turn the relationship between shakky and the god valley pirates into a kinda snow white and dwarf situation, which would be very lame for her character. but for now, i trust the process.

so yeah, personally, i’m really hyped and curious and shakky being one of the central elements just adds to my curiosity and excitement.

Is it weird that I want Shakky to just scream at Rayleigh or something? Like allllllll these other men go after her, and the ONE she likes won’t fucking do it? I know they end up together, and based on that one line is Sabaody, Rayleigh and Shakky could have an open marriage, but I just want someone to hit Rayleigh. Just once. Gimme some angst between my favourite older ship!
