Seeking actors for a concert of songs from GHOST STORY, a new musical!

VIDEO AUDITIONS are open 'til 6/21!

Two love stories between Chinese American and Polish American men haunt the same ranch house, one century apart. 

Rehearsals will be in Butte, Montana this July, with a performance July 20th. We're looking for actors who will (or can) be within commuting distance of Butte this July!

Paid (and we may be able to reimburse small travel expenses, e.g. gas)

No previous experience required!

CHARACTERS

ANTHONY TIAN: A cis male Chinese-American immigrant in 2022, recently engaged to JOEY. Late 20s. East Asian.

JOEY PULASKI: A trans man of Polish descent in 2022, recently engaged to ANTHONY. Early 30s. White.

HAOWEN “HAO” YANG: A transmasculine Chinese immigrant in 1882. A ranch hand who is sharing a room with JÓZEF. East Asian.

JÓZEF PULASKI: A cis male Polish immigrant in 1882. A ranch hand sharing a room with HAO. JOEY’s great-grandfather. White.

Έφτασε η ώρα και για αυτό...

Για όσους δεν το ξέρουν, ετοιμάζω μια ταινία μικρού/μεσαίου μήκους, no spoilers (ωραίος).

Θα χρειαστώ μια κοπέλα για πρωταγωνίστρια,

από Αθήνα,

που να είναι κοκκινομάλλα,

με νορμάλ σώμα, ούτε πολύ λεπτή, ούτε παχουλή.

Η ηλικία που πρέπει να είναι η κοπέλα είναι τουλάχιστον 16+ και να είναι - κατά προτίμηση, αλλά όχι απαραίτητα - καπνίστρια.

Το σενάριο δεν είναι ακόμα έτοιμο αλλά είναι στα τελειώματα (δέκτες και οι σεναριογραφικές γνώμες btw).

Θέλω όμως από νωρίς να βρω την ηθοποιό για να κάνουμε πρόβες, θα είναι λίγο δύσκολο και συναισθηματικό, επομένως θα χρειαστώ κάποια που να μπορεί όντως να παίξει επάξια το ρόλο. Αν δεν βρω κάτι που να μου αρκεί αναγκαστικά θα πάω σε επαγγελματία ηθοποιό οπότε αν δεν είσαι σίγουρη για τον εαυτό σου μην μπεις καν στον κόπο.

CASTING CALL

HUNT FOR THE BROKEN PODCAST by Victoria Polli is an up and coming podcast to be released early 2018 (likely around Feb/March). The podcast will consist of three seasons, each containing 15 episodes that will be approximately 30 minutes long. This casting call is for the first season only, so if you don't get a part, please do not fret! Seasons 2 and 3 will bring about another casting call.

This romantic paranormal drama is narrated by a ghost, who watches over her younger sister and the life she left behind as chaos unfolds. This story has mature themes such as abuse, human trafficking, addiction, suicide, and self-harm.

Please note that this project will be unpaid, but all cast and crew will be paid based on if anyone donates to the podcast's Patreon or donation pool, which will both be created about halfway through season 1.

If you would like to act in the podcast, please email [email protected] a short description of yourself (name, age, gender/pronouns, and anything else you think sets you apart or that you think I should know), the parts you're auditioning for, and an MP3 file of yourself acting out a dramatic monologue of your choice. Please stick to contemporary monologues from plays or even TV shows/film/etc.

Auditions are responded to on a rolling basis, and you will be notified whether or not you will be receiving a callback as soon as your audition is reviewed. Callbacks will consist of a line reading for the part(s) you are receiving a callback for as well as a second monologue with the same criteria as the first audition.

I will stop requesting auditions when the cast list is full. Please note that no matter the part you receive, this is a long-term committment. Do not audition if you are not ready for that.

If you are not a voice actor but have skills that you believe will benefit the podcast, such as graphic design or music etc., then feel free to send an email as well and describe how you would like to help.

Character descriptions below.

REGULAR ROLES

Cristyn Reynolds, 15, Caucasian, female. A quiet, sarcastic girl who keeps many secrets, sometimes without trying. She mourns the loss of her two older sisters, one who ran away and the other who died, and is a current victim of abuse. OPEN.

Jade Everett, 17, Caucasian, female. A badass, playful, damaged girl who acts tougher than she is. Has natural white hair (with dyed pink streaks) and white eyes, which mark her as valuable and appear blue to the non-supernatural crowd. Drug addict and former victim of the supernatural human trafficking system. OPEN.

Kaiden Stone, 23, Caucasian, male. A supernatural drug lord in the trade (which sells valuable artifacts, people, drugs, etc.) who purchased Jade to save her from it five years ago, thus giving him power over her fate. Conceited, moderately sleazy, and has fun toying with words and sometimes people. OPEN.

Devon Reynolds, 16 (should be 18), Caucasian, female. Narrator. Cristyn's dead older sister who watches over her and the life she lost when she killed herself. Brainy, wistful, and caring. Occasionally appears to Cristyn or Jade, but it's difficult for her to push through the veil. CASTED.

RECURRING ROLES

Aaron Reynolds, 30's-40's, Caucasian, male. Cristyn's father, an entitled, wealthy attorney known for helping the community. Physically abusive and controlling to his family. OPEN.

Lacey Reynolds, 30's-40's, Caucasian, female. Cristyn's timid mother who tries to secretly aid her child without her husband finding out. Still lost in a haze as she mourns the death of her eldest daughter. OPEN.

Drew Martinez, 16, Hispanic, male. Cristyn's childhood best friend. Popular soccer star and goody goody. Hates Cristyn's association with Jade due to her reputation. Hispanic actors ONLY. OPEN.

GUEST ROLES

Alyssa Reynolds, 18, Caucasian, female. Devon's twin and Cristyn's older sister. Ran away at fourteen and is now hesitantly trying to reach back out to her sisters now that she is of age. Beautiful, street smart, and passionate. Season 2 regular. OPEN.

Leah Donovan, 15, African American, female. Drew's new girlfriend who is new to town and gets a starter position on the girls' soccer team. Has an agenda. WOC preferred. OPEN.

Atticus, 40's, any race, male. Jade's sleazy supernatural drug dealer who can not be trusted. OPEN.

HEELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO D&D AND Y-O-I FANDOMS!!!! This here is an open casting call to my new campaign starring Yuuri, Viktor, Phichit, Chris, Yuri P, and Otabek. Currently looking for some people to play as everybody except Yuuri. Must be willing to play long-term, a-ok with violence, smut, and any manner of heavy topic, and friendly! I’m an inexperienced D&D player and first time DM so please be patient with me. This will be a casual, go-with-the-flow game that I hope everyone enjoys. I plan on posting a log of the adventures as a fic on Ao3 to share the fun with everybody!
