he heard the footsteps behind him as he sought somewhere quiet - somewhere far from the crush of the ball. he grit his teeth in annoyance. he recognized the tread, the person who followed him far more familiar than he would have liked. but how could it have been otherwise? after all, she’d been haunting him for months - it was foolish to have expected any reprise... anthony stopped suddenly and whirled around.    “  have you been following me?  ”    he demanded, a smirk curving at the corner of his mouth.
