WIP of some new designs
Iāve also been 3D printing some of the Rampage / OpenLOCK dungeon pieces by Printable Scenery of New Zealand.Ā All of these pieces are from the free Rampage Base Pack.Ā The designs allow many flexible options for building dungeon or castle interior spaces.Ā The irregular appearance of the stone wall pattern gives it a look of great age and weight.
Most pieces: 10% infil, 0.2mm layers, on a Da Vinci 1.0.Ā Switching to PLA from ABS has eliminated the problem of pieces curling off the print bed.Ā Banding of the sides has been reduced with better bed leveling.
There is a prototype clip to connect OpenLock and DragonLock pieces, but it isnāt necessary if using complete rooms or hall sections made entirely from one or the other design.Ā Assembled rooms can be butted up against each other and will stay put well enough during game play.
Havenāt been posting well this week, or checking out other ppls shit, sorry to say. Iāll get caught up this weekend. Here is some stuff I got done.Ā
1)Glueless, support free, functioning door
2)New roof design and probably the last concept for the next launch.
3)New stone foundations
4) OpenLOCK corner connectors and my Open_Peg converter kit for kit mashups. Its a nice improvment for openlock stacking and will allow you to easily design and mix for vertical stacking. It is kind of a big deal.Ā
5)Lastly I designed some more aggressive pegs for locking stacking blocks together sort of a ringshank nail crossed with an irregular serrated edge .Ā
Next week I will get glue free, support free clip in windows done.
Ā Pictures from inside the Gamescape3d printer farm as we crank out the next KS including a giant #OpenLOCK keep.Ā
Today I tried a Dungeon Tile and Wall with the OpenLock System. Pretty cool stuff, for sure Iāll be printing some more š . Design from @thingiverse.
