Animal rights activists from @directactioneverywhere stormed an industrial duck farm and slaughterhouse, locking their necks to the slaughter line to halt the killing of the animals in Petaluma, California on June 3rd, 2019. Upon locking themselves to the kill line, an employee reportedly turned the line back on, strangling an activist. Thirty one ducklings were rescued and brought to a sanctuary. There are many atrocites in human history that were upheld by law. Slavery, witch trials, the human holocaust, apartheid, and segregation come to mind when thinking about past human history. Add the mass murder of animals to that list. The law has ZERO bearing on morality and ethics. We know for a FACT that non human animals have the capacity to suffer, feel fear and pain, and can display a wide range of other emotions. Denying the most vulnerable beings on this planet the right to a harm free is unexcusable human behavior. This is a moral atrocity and needs to be abolished as quickly as possible. Speciesism is the ROOT form of discrimination and should be eradicated from human thought. We are NOT superior. We are all equal in all the ways that matter. Which side of the road would you stand?
