How Miss All Sunday aka Nico Robin our beloved must have felt after spending the whole season mysteriously appearing, proceeding to flirt with every woman she comes across, then disappearing with no further explanation:
where after making out and she is laying your head on her chest! calls you cutie or something sweet yet hot in her accented tone. and girls tall so the height difference is 🩷. even if you are the same height or taller either way.
she would be soft at first maybe not but she would grab your neck to kiss you deep when you pull away you can’t help but look at her cleavage like hello there
Can we have a Robin x fem reader story in which the strawhats are celebrating on the ship and doing their usually shenanigans with drinking and stuff. They decide to play a game among ourselves to reveal interesting fact about each crew member (like spin the bottle but if you have any other ideas) and someone accidentally reveal that reader used to have a massiv crush on Robin ever since she first saw her
My starter in my car gave out in a parking lot and an 18-wheeler nearly took me out today, but I got pizza and I'm living the dream with Robin. I'm glad you like the Robin fics!! More coming soon :3
It was supposed to be a harmless game.
It wasn't supposed to end with your secrets laid out in front of the entire crew-
or with Robin looking at you like that.
It Was Just A Crush
Nico Robin x Reader
The Going Merry was louder than usual. Not in the chaotic, something’s-on-fire kind of way- just the familiar, loose kind of noise that came with a good day and too much to drink. Laughter carried easily across the deck, blending with the clink of glasses and the occasional thud of something- or someone- hitting the wood too hard.
You leaned back against the railing, watching it all unfold with a quiet sort of ease. Luffy was already on his second round of yelling about something no one fully understood, Chopper was trying (and failing) to keep count of how many drinks everyone had, and Usopp was mid-story, dramatically gesturing like his life depended on it.
“-and then it exploded! Right in my face!”
“That didn’t happen,” Nami cut in flatly, not even looking up from her drink. Usopp whipped his head around to face her. “It could’ve happened!” He shot back. You huffed a quiet laugh under your breath, shaking your head.
“Enjoying the show?”
The voice came from beside you- calm, smooth, and unmistakable. You didn’t need to look up to know who it was. “Always,” you replied lightly, glancing over just enough to catch Robin settling beside you. She held her glass loosely in one hand, relaxed as ever, like the noise and chaos around her didn’t touch her unless she allowed it to. “They’re particularly energetic tonight,” she observed. You nodded, glancing over at her for a brief moment.
“That’s one way to put it,” you muttered, watching as Luffy nearly knocked over a barrel in his excitement. Robin hummed softly, amusement flickering faintly across her expression. For a moment, you just stood there- watching, listening. Comfortable. Days like this were your favourite, no need to push yourself to do anything. It was just easy.
Then-
“Oi!” Usopp's voice cut through everything, loud enough to pull attention from every corner of the deck. “We’re playing a game!” Zoro scoffed, “That sounds dangerous.” He looked up from where he was sitting, not bothering to move. “It *isn’t* dangerous,” Usopp snapped. “It’s strategic.”
“That’s worse,” Sanji sighed. Luffy, of course, was already all in. “What kind of game?!” Usopp grinned widely- a little too proud of himself. “A truth game.” Nami raised a brow at that. “That sounds like a terrible idea.” “*Exactly*,” Usopp smiled. “That’s why it’ll be fun.” You felt a small shift beside you as Robin set her glass down on the railing. “Go on,” she said, mildly interested. “Explain.” Usopp straightened slightly, clearly pleased to have an audience.
“It’s simple,” he began, pointing at all of you. “One person starts by saying a fact about someone else- something interesting, something embarrassing, whatever.”
“That already sounds like a mistake,” you muttered.
“No interruptions!” Usopp continued. “The person has to confirm if it’s true.” Nami tilted her head, “And if it’s not?” “Then they have to reveal a fact about someone else,” he said, his grin sharpening. “Something better.” There was a brief pause,as everyone considered it. “That… doesn’t make much sense,” you sighed. “And it doesn’t sound much fun,” you continued, yet there was a hint of amusement in your eyes. “But it sounds messy.”
“Right?” Usopp beamed. Luffy bounced slightly where he sat. “I like it!”
“Of course you do,” Nami sighed. Sanji straightened, immediately smoothing out his shirt. “I have nothing to hide.” Zoro snorted, “That’s a lie.” Chopper looked between everyone, already nervous. “W-wait, does it have to be embarrassing?!”
“Yes,” Usopp and Luffy said at the same time. “Absolutely not,” Nami added, reaching for another drink. Robin’s soft laugh cut through the noise- quiet, but enough to draw your attention back to her. “This should be interesting,” she muttered. You glanced at her, a small smile tugging at your lips. “Yeah,” you agreed.
It probably would be.
You just didn’t realize how much.
“Alright!” Usopp clapped his hands together, clearly taking charge. “I’ll start!” Nami glared at him, muttering, “Of course you will.” Usopp ignored her. “Let’s see…” He scanned the group dramatically before pointing. “Zoro!” Zoro didn’t even look up. “What.” This earned a grin from Usopp. “You once got so lost you ended up back on the same boulder three times in a row.” There was a brief pause as everyone looked at Zoro. “...That happened,” he admitted flatly. Luffy burst out laughing immediately. “I remember that!”
“You said it was strategy!” Usopp added. Zoro shrugged, “It was.”
“It wasn’t,” Nami and Sanji said at the same time. “Alright, alright!” Usopp waved his hands. “Your turn!” Zoro clicked his tongue, clearly already over it- but he played along. “...Cook,” he said, glancing at Sanji. “You’ve cried over a woman rejecting you more than once.” Sanji froze. “That is a gross understatement,” Nami chuckled, sipping her drink. “I was expressing passion,” Sanji snapped back. “So that’s a yes,” Usopp grinned. Sanji sighed dramatically, dragging a hand through his hair. “...Fine. My turn.” His gaze swept across the group before landing on Luffy. “You once tried to eat something that was very obviously not food.” Luffy’s face lit up. “Oh yeah! That was good!”
“It was a candle,” Nami added.
“It looked like meat!”
“It did not.”
The laughter that followed came easy- light, familiar, exactly what you expected. Round after round passed like that- small things, embarrassing things. Harmless things. You relaxed into it without thinking, leaning back slightly as the noise carried around you. Beside you, Robin remained as composed as ever, though you caught the faintest of amusement in her eyes as the game continued.
Then-
“Alright, my turn!” Luffy pointed wildly, spinning in place before stopping- directly at you. “YOU!” You blinked at him, “Me?” “Yeah!” He grinned, “Uhh…” He paused, clearly thinking very hard. There was a beat, and then-
“Oh!”
Your stomach dropped. You didn’t know why. Luffy beamed, clearly proud of himself. “You used to-” “Luffy,” Nami cut in sharply. Too late. “-have a huge crush on Robin when she first joined!” There was silence, one that snapped into place. Almost like the entire deck just…stopped. Your brain stalled. “...What?” It came out quieter than you meant it to. Across from you, Usopp’s eyes went wide. “WAIT- SERIOUSLY?!” “Luffy!” Nami snapped, but there was a flicker of interest in her gaze now. Chopper blinked rapidly. “Y-you did?!” Sanji looked personally betrayed at the news. “How did i not know about this?!” Zoro didn’t say anything- but he glanced over at you. And somehow that made it worse.
You opened your mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. “I- That-” you tried, the words failing you completely. Because the worst part wasn’t the crew staring. It wasn’t the teasing already building up. It was-
You became suddenly, painfully aware of the person sitting beside you. Slowly- you turned your head, and met her gaze. Robin was already looking at you, of course. Her expression hadn’t changed much- still calm and composed. But there was something else there now- something sharper. *Interested*. “Oh?” she said softly . Just that, just one word. And somehow- that was worse than everything else combined.
Heat rushed to your face, your pulse picking up a little too fast. “That’s not-” you started, immediately defensive. “It’s not like that-”
“Not like what?” Usopp cut in, leaning forward eagerly. “Yeah!” Luffy added. “You said you liked her hair and everything!”
“I said it was nice!” You snapped back. “You said it was beautiful,” Luffy corrected. “That’s the same thing!”
“It’s not,” Nami added, clearly entertained now. “I-” You stopped, dragging a hand down your face. “That was a long time ago.”
“Mm,” Robin hummed softly beside you. Not disagreeing. Not agreeing. Just…acknowledging. You risked another glance at her, which proved to be a mistake. She was still watching you, not teasing or laughing. Just- watching, carefully. “Was?” She asked, titling her head. Her voice was low, almost thoughtful. The word lingered, simple and quiet. It felt dangerous. Your breath caught slightly. “...Yes,” you said, a little too quickly. Across the deck, Usopp made a noise of disbelief. “That sounded fake.”
“Shut up,” you shot back instantly. Luffy tilted his head. “So you don’t anymore?”
“Luffy.”
“What?! It’s part of the game!”
“It really isn’t,” Nami sighed. But no one stopped him. Of course they didn’t. Because now everyone was watching again. Waiting. Your chest tightened slightly. Because suddenly- this didn’t feel like a game anymore. You exhaled slowly, forcing yourself to steady.
“...It was just a crush,” you tried to casually say. “When she first joined. That’s it.” There was a pause, only to be interrupted by another soft hum from beside you. “Is that so?” You didn’t look at her this time, didn’t trust yourself to. But you could feel it. The shift, the attention. The way the space between you suddenly felt…smaller.
“Alright!” Usopp clapped loudly, breaking the moment. “That definitely counts! Someone else go!” The noise picked back up- laughter, voices, the game continuing like nothing had happened. Like the moment hadn’t just shifted. But even as the attention moved away- you could still feel it.
Her, right beside you. Unmoved and unbothered. And now- very, very aware.
The night didn’t quiet all at once. It faded. Voices thinned, laughter softened, footsteps grew fewer as the crew slowly drifted off- some to their beds, some passed out where they sat. The energy from earlier still lingered in the air, dulled now. Manageable.
You should’ve left with them. You didn’t. Instead, you found yourself back at the railing, the cool night air doing little to settle the warmth that still lingered in your chest. Your fingers curled loosely against the wood, your gaze fixed somewhere out on the dark water. You told yourself you were just getting some air. That was all.
“...You’re thinking rather hard.” You froze. *Of course*. You didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. Robin’s voice was quiet, smooth as ever- untouched by the chaos from earlier, like she had all the time in the world. You exhaled slowly before glancing over your shoulder. “You’re one to talk.” She stood a few steps away at first, one hand resting lightly against the railing, the other still holding a half-forgotten drink. Her expression was calm- unchanged. But her eyes- they were on you.
Still.
“Am I?” She asked mildly. You huffed under your breath, turning your gaze back out to sea. “You knew exactly what you were doing back there.” Robin let out a soft hum. Not denial. Not confirmation. Just…acknowledgement. “I suppose I did.” She said, a brief pause following. Then- you felt it. The subtle shift of her presence as she stepped closer. Not rushed. Not hesitant. Just…deliberate. The space beside you filled easily, like it had earlier- like it always did. Her arm brushed yours- light enough to be accidental.
It wasn’t.
“You handled it well,” she continued, voice softer now, closer. You let out a quiet breath. “I don’t think being publicly exposed counts as handling it well.” Robin’s lips curved faintly. “I disagree.” Of course she did. Silence settled again- but it wasn’t empty. It pressed in gently, filled with something quieter. Heavier. You shifted slightly, more aware of her now than you had been all night. “That was a long time ago,” you muttered, almost as an afterthought. “Mm.” There it was again. That soft, thoughtful sound. Considering.
You frowned slightly, glancing sideways at her. “You keep doing that.”
“Doing what?”
“That,” you gestured vaguely, “- the mm thing. It’s not an answer.” Robin tilted her head just slightly, her gaze never leaving you. “I’m not sure you asked a question.” You opened your mouth- then stopped. Because- she wasn’t wrong. “...You know what I mean,” you said instead, a little weaker than you intended. “Do I?” Her voice dipped slightly. Not teasing- not quite. It was something else- something that made your chest tighten just a little. You looked at her properly then- and immediately wished you hadn’t.
She was closer than you thought. Close enough that you didn’t need to lean into her. Close enough that you could see the faintest shift in her expression- the subtle interest that hadn’t been there before. Or maybe it had, you just hadn’t noticed. “You said it was a long time ago,” she continued, voice calm, measured. There was a beat. Then-
“Was it?”
Your breath caught. There it was again, that question. Simple and quiet, yet impossible to answer properly. “...Yes,” you said, once again a little too quickly. Robin watched you for a moment. Not calling you out. Not correcting you. Just…watching, carefully. “Mm.” You exhaled sharply through your nose, looking away again. “You’re doing it again.”
“I find it interesting.” Robin responded. “That I had a crush on you?” You shot back, a little more defensive than you meant to be. Robin didn’t answer right away. Instead, her gaze dipped- briefly- to where your hand rested against the railing. Then back up. “That you’re trying so hard to convince me it’s gone.” Your heart stuttered. “I’m not-”
“Aren’t you?” The interruption was gentle, which somehow made it worse. You faltered- just for a second- but it was enough. Robin’s expression softened- not in pity, not in mockery. Something quieter, more knowing. “You haven’t moved away,” she added, almost absentmindedly. Your stomach dropped slightly, because you hadn't. You were still standing there, still close. Still within reach. Like it hadn’t changed at all.
Your fingers twitched against the railing. “That doesn’t mean anything.”
“Perhaps not,” she agreed easily. Too easily.
There was another pause. Then- her hand moved, slowly with no urgency. Her fingers brushed lightly against yours where they rested on the wood. Not grabbing. Not holding. Just- there. Close enough to feel. “Then again…” she murmured, voice softer now. “...you’ve always been rather consistent.” Your breath hitched- just slightly. Robin didn’t look away, didn’t pull back. She just watched you, waiting. Not forcing or rushing. Just- letting the moment sit between you. Heavy and unavoidable.
“...You’re unbelievable,” you mumbled under your breath, though there was no real heat behind it. Robin’s lips curved faintly again. “I’ve been told that.” Another pause, quieter this time, closer. And then- almost thoughtfully-
“I don’t mind it, you know.” You blinked. “...What?”
“That you liked me,” she clarified, as if it were the simplest thing in the world. Her fingers shifted slightly against yours- not quite holding, but no longer accidental. “If anything…” she added, voice low, calm- “...I find myself curious.” Your pulse kicked again. Because the way she said it wasn’t casual or distant. It was something else entirely. Something that settled deep and refused to move. You swallowed, your voice coming out quieter than you meant to. “...About what?” Robin’s gaze lingered on you for just a second longer. Then, softly-
