I've been working on OPOR lately (Original Preserve or Raze-- not POR, but the rewrite of it) and in it Luke's character is still alive at the start of the story. So I've genuinely had to be like hey... if someone fights him and theorically kills him... who should get to do the honors?
Percy (who's been trying so hard to move on)?
Annabeth (who is still affected by the intense betrayal)?
Nico (who is Percy's little brother in this version, and had to take over after Percy disappeared)?
Honestly, the person I always end up coming back to is Frank. Fuck him up fam.
