May 16 is Romani Resistance Day, when we remember the day in 1944 when the Romani and Sinti prisoners in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp rose up against their Nazi captors and held them off until August 2. It’s a day to celebrate courage and commemorate loss, and to remember that we can and must do what we can with what we have, no matter where we are, no matter the odds. What: A blog dedicated to appreciation of canon Romani (and Traveller) characters as well as sharing headcanons :)

Who: This blog is run by me, a Tsinganoi (Greek) Romani who is reconnecting to his culture! I use he/him, and am 23 yrs old. I am Autistic and disabled as well

Why: Because we don't have enough Romani representation and appreciation on the internet and I'd love to have a positive and safe place for just that

How: I go based off canon characters, my own headcanons, and any submissions I receive

Can I submit? Feel free to submit a character, canon or non canon! Please include their full name, the media they are from, and whether they are canon or non canon Romani or Traveller. They don't have to be "good" representation necessarily as it's very rare to find, but try to use discretion when picking lol. You may do this through the ask box and can submit as many characters as you'd like

Media I will not include: Hazbin Hotel/Anything by Vivziepop, South Park, Big Mouth, Wandavision, IRL people or RPF

DNI: TERFS/SWERFS, queerphobes, antisemites, right wing, centrists, fascists, and racists (obviously.) If you think "gypsy" is not a slur or can be said/claimed by non-Roma then just get the fuck out of here. Anti-Romani sentiments of any kind are also not welcome. I am not willing to debate this and anyone who disrespects this rule will be instantly blocked and reported.
