Posting this here as well since I’ve been talking about shipping, but here’s an old concept art I was never brave enough to post. I made this in like 2023. The concept is essentially that Rodimus gets tangled in Megatron’s and Optimus’ red string: hell eventually find he’s not attached to either of them, merely extremely tangled; caught up in the middle of their mess to such a degree it’s hard to get out.

Op’s end of the string is wrapped around Rodimus’ wrists because Rodimus is Op’s follower, his soldier, a prisoner of sorts to the autobot cause. Megatron’s end is wrapped around his neck because megatron has had a very close hold on Rodimus life since Nyon, has been responsible for his death and his rise. Of course Rodimus is devastated to find he’s not attached to either of them when he finally manages to untangle himself, finding himself utterly alone again, unsure if he’d ever had a red string himself or if it got lost amidst the war. I want to write a fic based around the concept but I haven’t had the time, lol, but I will eventually get to it

Optimus gets sick, and Rodimus has no idea how to take care of him.

Ok, maybe the alien being murderous would have been the better option, rather than having it decide to trap the two of them in a room together until they forgive each other. Not that it ever specified what, exactly, they had to forgive each other for.

Optimus is determined to make Rodimus slow down for a while.
