mika was glad that someone had responded to their ad in wanting a roommate. there was no way they'd be able to afford this place on their own. and it wasn't like they had their van with them. when the doorbell rang they jumped up to go answer it, excited to get the tour started. only after swinging the door open to mika feel their face turn pale. "jules- you.... w- what are you doing here?"

it pained mark, seeing lexie here but her not knowing who he was. like it was some kind of insane cosmic karma that they are here yet again in the same place but not able to be together. he took every chance he could get at work now to try and find himself in her presence. "you know if you need help studying or with a surgical technique, you can ask me." he says one day walking into the skills lab. relieved that they seemed to be the only two in the room.

"hey, dr. grey! can i ask you a question?" violet was grateful that by the time they got off shift, that the doctor was still at the hospital. and even though she knows they're told to not follow up on their patients, vi can't help but checking in on them. "the patient we brought in today, fell off their bike, wasn't wearing a helmet. how are they doing?"
