hi genuine question about non-monogamy/ENM/relationship anarchy: how do i navigate being mindful of the boundaries of my partner's partner when those boundaries include not communicating with me or allowing our shared partner to communicate much with me re: this person's boundaries? also how do we establish a """custody""" agreement/how we share our time with our shared partner if we can't talk?

obviously communication is key and i've already told my partner i would like to open communication to his partner, i'm just wondering about what more experienced people might think

Armie Hammer, the actor known for his roles in “Call Me By Your Name” and “The Social Network,” was accused of engaging in cannibalistic behavior (yes, you read that right), rape and sexual misconduct in 2021 and promptly left the Hollywood scene. Now, almost four years later, he has decided to make a return to the limelight with a new podcast, “Armie HammerTime,” and a role in a new film. On Instagram, Hammer posted a video announcing his new endeavors, saying, “Some of you are going to love this, and some of you are going to hate this. I’ve been gone for the past four years, and now I’m back — what are you gonna do?” What most people should do is not tune in. His attitude brings up questions about allowing alleged sexual abusers to make a comeback and what we, the public, are going to do about it.

With that sentiment in mind, allowing Hammer to return to the spotlight seems morally inept. Following his content, listening to his podcast and watching his movie only gives him a platform from which he can disseminate potentially harmful ideas. When speaking on his past allegations, he said, “Whatever it was that people said, whatever it was that happened, I’m now at a place in my life where I’m grateful for every single bit of it.” This kind of rhetoric, especially in reference to the very serious allegations made against him, shouldn’t have a space on any platform. While some may argue that the podcast could be a space for him to grow and learn from his experiences, he discussed the premise being an interview with a guest about a niche topic. Even on the podcast, which has already released three episodes, he does not mention the allegations and does not use the podcast as a way to show growth.

You know, it’s days like this that I sit back and wonder if my stork just... delivered me to the wrong family.  If it weren’t for the fact that I look so much like my brothers... I might think that was the case.

I was standing in my kitchen slicing a million bagels (my least favorite part of the whole process; I need a bagel slicing machine like Panera) and I remembered: If you want to go by genetics, we’re only 50% related; we have different moms.  I know next to nothing about their mother, including how she died.  If you want to go the nurture route... We were all raised by my dad, in some form.  Like I said, I know nothing of their mom.  I do know other family members helped my dad take care of them after their mom died.  I know because one of the things they resent about me was that I got to grow up with him my whole childhood. 

Most of them were out of the house by the time dad married my mom and had me.  The only one I really remember living with was the youngest (and he is the one I am closest to).  So, really, they were people that popped in and out of my life as I grew up more than us being a unit.  Beyond that, my dad married my stepmom when I was 10 so I was raised by her from then on... further widening the gap of unit-ness.  We share 50% of our genetics and a brief time of being in the same home, but that’s it.  I’ve spent more time with my friends than I have with my brothers.

So, this distance I feel.  This otherness?  It’s because we are different.  Different by age (the youngest is 10 years older than me), genetics, and by who raised us.

Doesn’t mean it doesn’t make me sad.  Because they’re all going to come together for our sick brother.  And as much as I don’t want to be involved... I’ll be the black sheep a few states over, making no noise and pretending I don’t exist.  I’m sure there’ll be talk about that eventually... but it’s what they’ve wanted all along, anyway.

Since you RPed Edward, do you have any headcanons for him when he's older, or at least after BF? Also, what made him so enjoyable, in your opinion?

Would there be much to say about him when he moved onwardafter Black Flag? His storyline was pretty ‘complete’, one might say, and when Idid RP with him, it was pairing him with a friend’s OC I helped structure, sohis life ended up vastly different—he ended up having 5 kids and not just the 2in his life. This was also about the time I knew little to nothing about the ACuniverse and the AC Wiki had to be my bible for a time, even if I owned BlackFlag (I never beat it till after I beat Syndicate sometime later after myfriend begged me to RP as Edward).

The things I can say is that he did enjoy spending time withhis wife now and again, and while he was content to buy her any and everythingjust to make her happy, she was pretty content to just be with him and in hisarms. (Edward still thinking material things will make her happy when I feelthat wasn’t the source of her happiness.)

The main reason I do love Edward is there’s so much time hespends out at sea that there’s a lot of things that could have happened theAnimus didn’t pick up on. This is why, if I ever DO write or RP him, he’s stilla pirate/Assassin (or it’s an AU). The world he lives in is vast, and that’sonly counting the Caribbean, as he couldeasily venture beyond there on his ship.

Basically: freedom—that’s what I find so enjoyable abouthim.

Also, I have a huge love of pirates and stories regardingthem. There was a story I was going to write in an AU where Edward/ Jacob/ Shaywere all part of the same cursed pirate crew looking for the right woman tocure their curse (very PotC inspired), but I took it off of my to-do list andnever got back to it. It was going to be a series of sorts.
