Tien-ti is walking towards her predestined death fully aware that she is about to die soon, but the only thing she asks of Orad is that he lets her remember him. He has always been there for her, and since he removed her memories she has been feeling that something important is missing from her. 

Oh, and that moment that really shook Orad and made him panic? It was her kissing him. He is also in tears about her destined death (though it doesn’t show that well on a screencap).

Even though Tien-Ti didn’t remember Orad as an adult, she used to have such a strong faith in him as a child. She didn’t show fear for being an orphan or being forced to transfer schools, because to her he was always there. He was her fantasy protector even if nobody else could see him.
