What's the best way to gain bells on acnl cause I personally find it really hard u-u
Definiteelyyy without a doubt bug catching on the island.
What you wanna do, to make your island 'efficient' [if you want a pretty island, this method is NOT for you] is dig up all the bushes, flowers, and trees in the centre of the island, leaving only the palm trees on the right & left.
Then go to your island after 5pm - not before because the expensive bugs aren't out - and just... catch the beetles like crazy haha. One trip can usually net you like 300k bells if you fill up your entire island-basket thingy.
To catch the bugs, don't run, press and hold A [whilst holding a net] to sneak up on 'em with [use the circle pad to move whilst holding A]. Don't get too close either ^ ^
Also, I choose not to catch the Goliath beetle [red and black] cause it isn't worth too much [6k], but every other beetle is fair game and worth 8k+
