Sweet but not overly winey. Lot of caramel and pair. Spice and oak on the finish with some tannins and fruitiness. Really well balanced and dangerously easy to sip. O terceiro americano da noite foi este belo Pinot Noir do Oregon, o “Siduri Hawks View 2015”. . Produzido pela @SiduriWines em Willamette Valley, não encontrei informações sobre estágio em barricas. . Tem cor rubi leve e aromas de frutas vermelhas maduras (morangos e groselha) com um toque floral e um leve herbal. Na boca é seco e com acidez e corpo médios. Os taninos são médio-baixos de ótima qualidade e os sabores frutados tem moderada persistência. . Um vinho de pouca complexidade, tanto ao nariz quando à boca, mas que é muito equilibrado e fácil de beber, sem nada fora do lugar... During my first visit to Oregon 8 years ago, the floral aromatics and overall quality of Cristom’s single vineyard 2008 Pinot Noirs made a lasting impression. So I was very excited to spend a beautiful afternoon seeing the vineyards (pics 6-7), touring the barrel room (pics 4-5), and, most importantly, tasting through Cristom’s fine lineup (pic 8)! The highlight of the tasting was the side-by-side tasting of the four 2016 single vineyard Pinot Noirs - Eileen, Jessie, Louise and Marjorie. While Marjorie receives the most acclaim, the Eileen showed the best on Sunday with amazing aromatics that just exploded from the glass! Given my obsession with Syrah and Northern Rhône wines, I also very much enjoyed the 16 Syrah, which is made in a Cote Rotie style with 4.5% Viognier.
