Day 2: Practice and Orientation
So the next day is here! All of you have let out your inner demons at the bonfire party the previous night, and now is the next morning. Some of you may have been hungover, and others are just regretting any predicaments that have happened as well. Well now it is bright and early the next morning, 8:00am. And that means it is time for getting down to business of what you are all here for. That’s right, the baseball. It is why we are all here, after all. So now you are all to report to the Quad, where the orientation will begin. All the captains are required to have their plans for the practices all lined out, and now it is finally time for practice. The fields will be assigned to each team and will begin to start practice effective immediately after the assignments have been made.
Atlas Corps
I have been fucking asking my parents to do one little thing for me: pay for my Orientation.
I was set on making a reservation, booking the flight, the hotel, everything.
And they kept pushing it off because they were too lazy to give me their credit card to finalize everything.
Now all the Orientation days are full and I have to choose my classes online.
After everyone else.
I get last fucking pick and I am so frustrated and crying and I called and emailed them and they cannot do anything and I am so fucking upset my family never listens to me when I beg them to do so.
I'm sorry I am being an idiot I just care so much about school and do not want to end up with horrible classes and teachers my first semester of college.
Welcome to College! Here's your first assignment!
PLAN OUT THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OF YOUR LIFE IT'S DUE IN TWO DAYS GO
Signing up for NYU Welcome Week events.
OH MY GOD. SO MANY OPTIONS. SO LITTLE TIME.
Should I kayak down the hudson river or frolic through central park?
Should I "Guess the straight person" or take a tour of "queer" places of the West Village?
Should I walk the brooklyn bridge or go to the Bronx zoo?
Should I learn the intricacies of the nyc public transportation system or learn about how to go to shows on a budget?
Should I "find God" at NYU or laugh at religion via laughing therapy?
Should I take a swing dance lesson, ballroom, salsa.....?
Should I go to Casino night or mentor a preschool student?
Should I go to practical, useful, informative events or fun ones?
Do I even have to choose? Can I do it all?
