pretty girl has been exploring the home harness-free today! we’re still wary about letting her wander on her own with the dogs around as their initial interactions haven’t been so great.

Happy fourteenth birthday my sweet baby girl. You are one of the brightest stars on my night sky. I think of you always. In my head you are laying on something soft (maybe a lap) and just bathing in sunlight; in summer. Your eyes are half-closed, half-open, and your purring sounds like the engine of a tractor. I think of you and I hope you’re not in pain. I hope you miss me, at least a little. I hope you’ll hang on to life ‘til next summer comes around. Because I know how much you love the sun.
this girl is a ball of energy in the morning and has been waking me up at 6am and not letting me go back to sleep :))) so i took her out to the garden to run around for a bit 🌸
