Spectacled Bear (Tremarctos ornatus) by Elaine Williams Via Flickr: The spectacled bear, also known as the Andean bear, Andean short-faced bear, or mountain bear and locally as jukumari, ukumari or ukuku, is the last remaining short-faced bear. Its closest relatives are the extinct Florida spectacled bear, and the giant short-faced bears of the Middle to Late Pleistocene age. Mum Lima with one of her twin cubs. Twins, female .'Pach' and male 'Mateo' were born on 20th January 2020 to mum 'Lima' and dad 'Bernado' at Chester Zoo, Cheshire, England.
